How wonderful!

We are going to be in park wear - sweatshirts or tshirts depending on Dec. weather. :rotfl2: Just thought a little touch of class would be special.

Our ressie is for 4:40.

Whew! That makes me feel better! DD used to ONLY wear dresses and now I'd have to pay her to get her into one!

That cracks me up. I loved dressing mine up cute when they were little. Matching outfits even - the horror of it all! Then they both turned into tomboys from about 8 until they hit 15 and instantly turned into girlie girls. Now it is all about getting tanned, waxed, and trying on clothes. (Not me at all). At least they still know how to be fun! Girls are the best!

TruBlu - I hope that if you are still hurting today that you call either your surgeon or primary care doctor. I'm so sorry to read about what happened to you in the grocery store.

Wow, I take a couple days off from reading and TruBlu gets run over by a crazy old man. Hope you feel better soon. Can't have you changing your plans again, I wouldn't get to meet up with you at MVMCP.

Let me start by saying that I hope you have a quick recovery TruBlu. It's a shame that it happened. Also...

Not to seem insensitive to TruBlu or offend certain others of this board/string, but this experience is kind of like my last few trips to WDW. Every time I was there, I'd be hit from behind, on the back of my legs by someone in a Rascal/Lark/etc... And worst yet, there was a time that I had to grab a kid and hoist him up, because that driver wasn't stopping for anything.

But I hope you recover real soon TruBlu. And keep that Pre-Christmas spirit going. :santa:

OUCH and so true. people can be crazy, stroller, wheelchair, ECV or just walking. I guess you can't count it a real WDW trip unless you are run over. :confused3:rotfl:

We will be at the Wishes Dessert Party on the 24th too. Say hi if you see a very excited Mom with a very tall DH and 3 kids. One will be holding her ears the entire time. LOL Or she may be wearing Nascar ear phones. She is autistic and doesn't like the noise of fireworks but loves looking at them.

Oh excellent! I will probably have on some sort of lime-green or even some LGMH on our backpack. I wasn't even sure if the Wishes Dessert Party would be worth it...but it's Christmas Eve so makes for a special memory. Have you done the dessert party before?

This is a recuperating trip for me. I have wrist fusion surgery October 15th. I'm going to be out of work until the end of December so planning for this trip gives me something to look forward to. Keeps my mind focused while I mend.

We usually can't count a trip to the supermarket without me ramming DH's ankles with the shopping cart. I swear, I don't know WHY the man stops in the middle of the aisle!!:confused3

Hope you're feeling better TruBlu!!

Don't know if this will stir you up like it did me, but disneyworld.disney.go.com has now added "Walt Disney World Holiday Events 2010" as part of the 4 quick links on the front page.

I gotta tell ya, seeing Cinderella's Castle lit up like that makes me want to rip through my calendar and just get to December.

Hey everyone..

Thanks to everyone responded about my crazy night last night. I am happy to report that the Powerpoint presentation for that stupid class is done. Now, I'm waiting a few hours to post it. I've got 200 words left on my final paper and then I'm D-O-N-E with this class . Then I can celebrate by my week long break

Hope today is a better day for all of you - has to be, it is one day closer to WDW!

I have a secret that I MUST share or I will burst....shhhhh....really, you can't tell anyone because my girls can't find out. I just booked the Garden View Tearoom for Afternoon Tea on Dec. 13th. Sooo fortunate as there were very few openings that day. My babies are going to be celebrating their 20 and 21 birthdays! We did tiaras last year for CRT, so I am thinking white gloves and pearls for the Tea. Any other ideas to make it extra special that won't break the bank?

Remember, shhhh, it's a secret between us disers.

Oh my goodness that is so sweet! I'm the youngest of 3 sisters and kind of the odd one out. I absolutely love ideas like that to celebrate important milestones in a young woman's life, especially traditional gifts like that combined with an afternoon tea - and at WDW no less, which makes it fairly spectacular in my book, haha!

I don't know if they still live at home or if they're on their own yet, but one of my favorite things that I took with me from my parents home were a few pieces of china, especially the ones I'd used at my grandmother's house for her traditional tea services growing up. Since you're going to tea, why not get them each a single tea cup and saucer to commemorate the day you all celebrated together that they can display in their own cabinets (if not now, then someday)?! Just an idea.

Oh my goodness, this will be my first December trip, and let me tell you, I absolutely cannot wait! Thanks for sharing!

I just ordered my cap and gown for graduation!!

I got an extra tassle to display in the frame I got for my degree (has a spot for it), two tassle keychains (going to display one with my degree) and an extra stole to give to DF as appreciation for helping me through my degree.

Come on November!

Wonderful idea! They will each inherit a selection of teacup/plates that I received from my Great Grandma, but I think I can find a set each for them on our trip and have them sent to the resort so I don't break them. hehe
Thanks!

Congrats on such a momentous accomplishment!

yeah for 70s. i need to work on a countdown calendar, but not sure when i will have time. about to face a really crazy month. good news is at least it will go by fast? i have a bday party, 3 day trip to san fran for work, 3 day trip to seattle for work, bunco at my house, flea market trip, hosting a baby shower for my sis, visit to the TX state fair and a halloween party. how will i find the time!?

Wow! You will be a busy little bee!!! At least when you are busy the waiting time seems to go so much faster!

I reserved haircuts for my girls at the MK ... woohoo! Last time we went it was so packed and not conducive to waiting with little ones. I didn't even know you could reserve that until I read it on these boards!

I'm BA-A-CK!!! I am feeling much better. Yesterday I was so sore it felt like I'd been in a car wreck. :guilty: From now until December, if I see old people in the grocery store I'm going to RUN in the other direction!!! :lmao:
