Wow it's been a while since I have been here and you have all been so busy planning Woo Hoo!:cool1:

So we changed our days shortened our trip, changed resorts and decided to book a March trip all in 1 week. It's crazy!

So our dates are

12/05 to 12/10 and we are staying Wilderness Lodge Courtyard view

So I have to replan the ENTIRE trip :scared1:

I was just wondering if anyone has booked wishes dessert party for this trip

I'm soooo stressing about the plane ride already... I HATE planes and I'm going to have my DS who is 2 1/2 with me too which stresses me out. Good thing my DH likes flying...

Thats why we drive. I am scared out of my mind flying. DH and I flew down in March when it was just him and I and I cried my eyes out at take off. Total anxiety attack. I know I can't fly with my kids. Mainly because I don't want to freak them out. I'm hoping my kids do not inherit my fear of flying if they were to fly with me I am pretty sure they would LOL.

Aghh I love to fly! I love planes and airports! LoL. I think its from growing up around them.. my dad was in the air force.. so planes were a daily thing for us.. even if I was just looking at them!

just something I enjoy I guess.

I hate flying, too. BUT - I find it easier with the kids. I guess I'm so focused on them I don't really have time to freak myself out.

I wouldn't necessarily say I have anxiety of flying. I have anxiety of getting through security, finding my gate, making sure I have enough time to get to my gate, etc etc. Once I'm on the plane and we take off I'm okay cause normally I just fall asleep.

Just a crazy week? This has been a crazy year for DH and I. Thank goodness it's almost over! :hourglass

Now, as for flying: I have flown many times even when I was younger and never had any fear. For some reason now that I'm older, I'm terrified of take offs and landings. I'm okay once we are in the air. :confused3

planning is fun! or should i say re-planning. lol I haven't booked the dessert party this trip, but we did it last December and loved it. DH actually wanted to do it this trip, but we have so much going on in such a short time, that I just feared added another event to the schedule. We already have MVMCP and Candlelight, plus all the ADRs, so we skipped it.

so sorry!! hopefully your DS will keep your focus away from the actual flight and on him instead. AND, I do travel for business not as often as I used to, but keep in mind that most flights to Orlando (at least at DFW) seems to be 60% or more vacation people and families with small children. So it isn't like if your kid is noisy or kicking a seat, that they are the only one doing it. :rotfl: Also, you might find it helps to sit near the rear of the plane, closer to the bathroom, the stewardess for snacks and out of the way of most of the business travelers who usually sit nearer the front. Won't be as stressful.

lol- i've missed two flights (both to Vegas), so i do fear being late and getting on on time. first time, DH just got caught in traffic and we were late (business trip), second time, last year for my BF's wedding, we just missed the cutoff to check my bag- have to be there an hour before for bag check, it was 55 minutes before. They wouldn't take it. dang parking shuttle made us late. Now i get there super early and don't tell DH what time the flight leaves (he hates waiting and prefers to get there last minute). lol. I don't mind flying, but rarely have to do it with kids. I've only flown with my DS twice, once at 4 months old (by myself), which wasn't bad, then again last December and he did really well.

and here is the blog on the Hacienda's grand opening. It appears there are big curving windows, so you can see Illuminations, just not sure how great hte view is. Guess I'll wait to hear all the reviews over the next month or so to see.

I have an ADR in Dec as well. I really hope they clear up the confusion about the dining plan before then... :confused3
I made our reservation at 8:00 pm. Is that too early for a 9:30 pm Illuminations? :confused3
It will be our last night, and I was thinking what better way to end it? :goodvibes

So I made my official countdown calendar yesterday, now this weekend I will make ones for my grandma and my momma - I think my grandma is just about as excited as I am - notice I said just about.

This is her first real vacation in 15 years - grandpa is a bit stubborn and refused to travel - so far she has bought a new purse and new luggage for the trip - by the time the trip comes around I'm sure she'll have bought another 3 purses and a whole new wardrobe!

I absolutley love how "family oriented" Disney is - there are very few places all three generations could go on vacation together and enjoy!

My family and I will be venturing to Disney from December 17th - 27th! We will be celebrating my daughter's 11th birthday. We'll be staying at the All-Star Movie Resort. This trip will be all inclusive and as a special surprise for her she will visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. We have quite a few character meals plans and just plan to have an all out good time! We are so excited! As well, we will be visiting the Holy Land Experience and the Gaylord Palm Ice Show, which I hear is a must see in Florida.

I can't wait!

party::welcome:party:

Welcome to the DIS!

I was thinking about the Ice show, too. But, since we're already loosing a Disney day to Harry Potter, I hate to schedule any more time away from the parks. Do you know how far away it is? How long it takes to do it?

Just saw this morning that Harmony Barber Shop is now taking reservations. So if any of you were thinking of stopping in a trying to get a cut, now you can make sure you get one! :thumbsup2

That is so cute that grandma bought a new purse! Put a smile on my face! :)

Ditto... Jones-ing for Disney already, and then this week has just compounded my need to RUN south.

:rotfl: "Jones-ing for Disney" :rotfl: Wow. I'd better not tell DH about that or he'll diagnose me for sure!
