Count me in! We're heading for our first family trip Dec 4-11th - staying at the Contemporary. Woo hoo! New to this site and hoping to get lots of help with planning and ideas!:yay:

I'm going to ask on the restaurant board as well but I figured I'd ask my fellow December folks as well. Where would you do Christmas breakfast? We are not going to do MK or really any park that day. We might head to one after dinner but we don't do the parks during the day. We want to try something new we always seem to do the same breakfast places. So we have already been to
Ohana
Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace
1900 PF
Akershurs
Boma
and we have Tusker House already booked.

So where else has really yummy food? The kids are only requesting CM for dinner  not too happy about that one but its their day to plan as long as they all agree on it and all 3 of them want CM!

I've never been there at Christmas time...but I'd probably pick somewhere the would be really pretty AND have good food! Maybe 1900 PF? The GF is supposed to be beautiful at that time of year. To me I think it seems more "Christmasy" than the others. Just my 2 cents!

I just got off the phone making DL dining reservations for our summer trip there....AND THEN...I just talked to a gentleman at the AKL Advanced Itinerary Planning office--he was SO nice and reassured me that he thought we would easily be able to book all of our first choice ADR's for our trip.

I asked him about whether or not it was dark for the first showing of the CP and he assured me that in Dec. it gets plenty dark by 5:15pm. I had read somewhere else that the first showing might not be as dramatic because it might not be dark enough. So....less expensive and still dramatic. Woot!

I checked sunset times online for December 1st for Lake Buena Vista, FL and it lists sunset at 5:28pm (when the sun goes below the horizon). It also says civil twilight ends at 5:53pm (when the sun is 6 degrees below horizon, i.e, the sky is even darker). Obviously, this time will vary depending on specific days, as well as cloud cover, etc. If the representative felt it would still be dark enough, then it's always nice to save money on the package! Here is a link to sunset times: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneDay.php. Best wishes with whatever you choose! :)

You will love the Tea Room if you are into that kind of thing, which we are. We went last Sept and are planning on doing it again in Dec., which should be even better with the Gingerbread House in the lobby. Have a wonderful time with your DD.:lovestruc

We are going to be at Bay Lake Towers from Dec.5th-12th.

I will there Decemeber 5th-12th!!This is our second visit to Disneyworld and we are staying at Pop again!!!I am looking forward to seeing the park decorated for the holidays and all the holiday festivities!!

exwdwcm-We are all adults between 25-40...no children so I think we will be fine in terms of being able to do long days. Our first night is going to be more "play by ear" in case we are all too tired! I think we will be fine for the MVMCP day, we are all very "theme park familier" and I don't forsee us having any problems. Of course we may change our mind that day and leave AK earlier if people are feeling like they need a break before MVMCP! Our biggest concern is seeing as much as possible. I am taking 3 first timers who want to see/do it all :lmao:

rachaface-I am SOOOOOO excited to see HPland as well. I am such a huge fan of the books/movies and cannot wait to see it brought to life!
I must have read the travel agent's schedule wrong the first time. Looking at it now, it only lists the Jammin' Jungle Parade at 345 daily. My guess is that they will change it to the Jingle Jungle Parade once it gets closer....but I have been wrong before :)

So is anyone else worried about the week of Dec 3rd-11th? I have been 4 times before but I feel like a TON of people on this disboards are going this year, these dates. Plus a new PIN offer is blocked out for those dates. I am hoping it is just because of Pop Warner, so they expect the hotels to be full. That is OK with me, but I do NOT want the parks to be packed like sardines! Any thoughts??

It's a little offbeat, but what about Whispering Canyon? We've been there for breakfast around the holidays and the Christmas tree in the Wilderness Lodge lobby is beautiful!

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the Advanced Itinerary Planning Office? Is that something available to guests staying concierge level? Or for anyone? I've never heard of someone at the resorts making ADRs for guests. I would feel spoiled, too!

I wasn't worried, but you post has made me nervous! I read on another Disney planning website that this week was the #1 week of the year to go (in terms of low crowds- not high ones), so I thought we were in the clear. But now I'm concerned! When you say that you've seen a lot of people on the DIS that are going that week, do you just mean this thread? Maybe that's because it's the December thread, and just by default, a fourth of the people posting here are likely to be going that week.

I do know it's a high time for DVC'ers. It's the lowest points week of the holiday season, so that's when we all are likely to go.

It's so great to find this thread.:thumbsup2We're booked at the Contemporary Bay View December 9th-13th, following our first ever cruise, 4 nights on the Disney Wonder. I can't tell you how excited I am. I love the world at Christmas time with all the decorations and just the festive atmosphere. We have tickets for MVMCP our first night and I'm hoping to see the Candlelight Processional this time. Also in a few days our ADR window opens and this will be our first time on the Dxddp.:woohoo:

So when is everyone's ADR day? Wondering so we can all cross our fingers for each other that we get what we want. Mine is June 21st I think I could be off by a day though. I have a few stressful ones. CRT for dinner, CM for Christmas dinner and a fantasmic package. Plus we want to do a Wishes Dessert party and we are HOPING and praying that hey are still offering the Pirate and Pals fireworks cruise.

ADR day is always the most dreaded in my house because if mommy doesn't get her ards done right she is not a happy woman LOL

My ADR Day is June 12. DSS and I are going over the fine details this weekend while DH is away on business. So nervous and excited, because that means we are getting closer.:banana:

So we are going for a Fantasmic lunch package, Tony's in MK for dinner, CRT for breakfast and I'm sure more that we will come up with this weekend.

My ADR day is June 7 and I am sooo excited!!!

Mine is June 7 also and I will be flying back in town that day from my niece's graduation. I am so glad that I booked with a TA at Mousefan travel. She will either do it herself or let the IPO do it for us. I have got to get these 100% decided before I leave.

Wife and I will be there Dec 19th to the 29th! MVMCP on the 19th and lots of Candlelight Processions and Fantasmic Dinner Packages at HS.
Staying at the All Star Music. Anxious for the 180 day mark soon to make ADRs especially Le Cellier!:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:

Think my ADR day is June 21st also, but using the new Beta version for Booking reservations seems to let those with confirmed trip reservation to make ADR's even sooner.
I think I can make reservations for 12/19 in two weeks on June 19th????? But would have to book on-line so no Fantasmic Dinner packages... might just be better to wait to call on the 21st.

We are coming Dec. 1st thru 5th. We are staying at SSR Grand Villa. Can't wait....we usually stay on the Monorail so I am a little nervous about staying somewhere diffrent but also excited staying somewhere new!!:santa:
