We'll be there Dec. 11-18 at BLT, MK view! It's our first stay at our home resort and I'm so excited!:cheer2: Does anyone know thew exact dates that Pop Warner is going to be there?:rolleyes1:rotfl2: Just Curious? TIA! April
BLT with MK view, sweet! Disney's website says Pop Warner will be around from Dec. 3-11. http://espnwwos.disney.go.com/events/football/pop-warner-super-bowl.

By the way, the new free dining offer is finally out on Disney's homepage! It currently runs through early October, but here's to hoping they soon extend it to December!!

They released November hours last month, so I'm assuming December hours aren't far behind. Plus, they've already released the MVMCP dates, so they know their December schedule full well. It's just a matter of time!

Can you post a link for the November hours? I was looking for them this past weekend but could not find them. :confused3

Not sure how to post a link to them but you have to check the calendar for each individual park. If you choose a park, then the calendar link it listed on the left side.

Thank you for doing this! :goodvibes
Once we all start booking ADRs - I'll try do an ADR list if people post their ressies! I did it last year on the December'09 thread and it was fun to see if/when DISers would be dining at the same places on the same day/time! :cutie:

Emma princess: xx
Thanks Emma, that would be awesome. if you want to do it and i can add it to the post i have going already, i'd be happy to do that, or we could start a new thread for the ADRS (and i can send you the travel dates for everyone to add- it is in an excel spreadsheet). ;)

THanks for all of you hard work, but my dates have changed just a little, we are going Dec 4-12, and will be doing MVMCP on Dec 7, still staying at the Poly.
great, i'll get you updated! :)

Question for those who have been at the world while the Christmas parade was being taped. I know everyone has advised that we avoid MK that weekend because of taping, but is that all day...or does the park perhaps empty out at some point? Roughly when do they stop taping?

Also, is there ever a discount on MVMCP, other than buying early and the DVC or AP people? I would love to go but just not share where to come up with more than $200 for us to go...and we have young kids (3 and 4) so I am worried about spending the money and then having to leave early because they are tired and cranky.

Thanks everyone!
good question- i am wondering too- from what i have read, it is NOT that crowded in the park in the am as far as rides go. But my concern is in the afternoon/evening- once the parade is over, all the folks that were watching it, will stay in the park and i fear it will be crowded then, plus they will have late hours that night as well and it is popular arrival day...........and where do people go on their first day? yep, MK!

We've been to WDW several times in November, but this year we're planning on 12/1 through 12/7. Based on past experience during the first week of December, should we expect that Illuminations at Epcot and the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom will be going on?
yep, Illuminations is every night. i love it! WISHES is every ngiht typically at the MK, however, keep in mind, they do NOT show WISHES on MVMCP party nights for regular guests. They only show the holiday WISHES on party nights (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays) at 9:30pm. So if you are NOT at the MVMCP, you can only see the regular WISHES on a Monday, Wednesday, Saturday only. THe hours will vary, depending on park hours. YOu can also try and view the MVMCP holiday wishes from outside the park if you are not going to the party though- from the beach of the poly, Ohana, Cali Grill, GF beach, TOW lounge, etc.

Oh so looking forward to our trip Dec 7-13 at the Beach Club! It will be my first time staying at CL I'm excited
woo hoo- CL must be amazing! I really want to try BC, that is going on my list to try and get on a future trip through DVC.

I just feel like I am sitting here with nothing to do till the hours are released. Once those are posted I can turn into a planning Mad Woman!!
I know the feeling, i am going nuts!! i am so OCD and such a planner, i can't wait!!

YEAH! this is our first trip home as well- also to BLT- we just bought in January this year!!! We leave the day you arrive though. We are lakeview, how about you? I can't wait to 'go home'!!!

Can you post a link for the November hours? I was looking for them this past weekend but could not find them. :confused3
the DIS and Allears don't appear to have them up, and i cannot find them on the disneyworld page either. just be sure when you go to disneyworld.com, select an INDIVIDUAL park to see the hours. if you just click on general calendar/hours, it won't show you november yet. so select an actual park and then you get a drop down for november. Also- this site is known for releasing hours early- travel agents. although it can't be known as 100% reliable, but it might give you a sneak peek before they are released to the public. i am guessing we won't see them released to the public until third week of May at the earliest, but i am hoping i am wrong!

link- youw ould just change november to december in the link i think- it won't show up yet obviously.

They normally post park hours 180 days out. They should be be out by June 1st but they have been known to post them a little early and a little late as well. So we still have a little but of a wait.

okay, the list of travel dates is updated now!

IF you have a pre trip report going, let me know and I can put a hyperlink to your trip report on your name/dates on this list too for others to find and visit!

Hi!
Shall I add the ADRs list to a post in this thread? :goodvibes

I have a PJ for my wedding (June 2011) which also contains some info on this December's trip... so it's sort of a PTR? :santa:

:wizard: We bought after our DS's first trip last Sept (we closed in Oct. 09). DH took the tour of BLT when we stayed at the Poly. After we purchased, I ended up booking a Dec. trip.:goodvibes I just could'nt get enough! LOL!
After going in Dec., I decided that this was my FAVE to time to go; so right at our 11 month mark (in Jan.) I called and booked our Dec. trip at BLT, 1 bedroom, MK view.:lovestruc This will be our first stay at our home resort. DH is very happy about being right on the monorail, he hates using the buses. The buses really do not bother me all that much. I mean, yeah, the monorail is VERY nice being close to it, but when I'm on Disney property, I'm SOOOO happy that it would take more than a bus ride to bring me down from my Disney crack high! LOL!:rotfl2: We're attending MVMCP too... I've looked at the dates and I'm thinking Tue. 14th. I'm hoping the crowds will not be too bad on a weekday as opposed to a weekend. We went last year on A Friday. It really was'nt too bad; alot of people left about an hour before it ended and there were no lines on anything! It was so much fun! Are you guys going to the party?:santa: Have fun! April

Thank you so much for doing all of this! It's so much fun seeing everyone that will be there at the same time and plan meet-ups!:wizard: The ADR list wil be alot of fun too! Ugghh... if Disney would hurry up on the park hours!:goodvibes Thanks, April:cutie:

I'm trying so hard not to obsess about ADRs or the December hours...but it's just so hard!!! :rotfl: We hit 100 degrees down here this past week/weekend (I'm in super deep South Texas) so I'm trying to do everything possible to put myself in a Disney December planning/packing (yes, already packing) mood. Besides, the wintery stuff is packed away! why not just 'store' it in my Disney suitcase! :santa:

Ah, your DS is too cute- how old is he? If only we were there at the same time- we are just missing each other. We leave on a 6pm flight on the 11th to go back home. We were there this past December too- at WL from 12/10-12/20. we did the DVC tour on one of our last days and much to my surprise, DH was on board. I never even considered the tour before because my DH is well.........'tight' with money. He works in finance and i think not growing up with much, he tends to be a saver. But we both work, and we know we deserve to reward ourselves a little since we could afford to do it. DVC isn't actually an 'investment' either , at least not 'making any money'.......(in memories of course), but he still saw the benefit in multiple trips over the years and saw the sparkle in our son's eye that just did it for him i guess on this last trip!!! :wizard: to say i am shocked that i am now DVC is a true understatement! But couldn't be happier. He also wanted BLT due to monorail. WE do love MK and Epcot, so easy access to both! YES we have found mvmcp on tuesdays to be great. we've done it twice on tuesdays now and it was fantastic! Do you have a pre trip report going? You should! come check out mine! :santa:;)

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao: You are not alone! i think we have a lot of super planners on this thread. I've already reworked my itinerary like 3x now and hours aren't even out yet. 100 already- OUCH!! where in S TX? I am in Dallas (Plano), and we are creeping in the 80s now and i am already dreading the summer and humidity. So what are you alraedy packing? I can tell you what we did for this last Dec trip- since there were 14 of us, my mom bought us all a huge rubbermaid type storage container. then every month she gave us little surprises to put in it- like rain ponchos (dollar store), disney dollars, pins, tolietries, hats, disney t-shirts (the disney store sure did love her this year!). anyhow- lots of fun and much easier when it came time to pack to have all this stuff in one big bin accumulating over the year. we had even bought christmas decorations on clearance after christmas the year before and stored those to decorate our room.

lol at just storing it in the suitcase- I LIKE how you think!:thumbsup2:worship::worship::worship::santa:

Hi! we're also planning to go to MVMCP on December 14th too! :woohoo:

You must be so excited to stay at your home resort... only 7 months to go :rolleyes1 !

Emma :santa: x

We are going November 28-December 5. Not sure how we get put on the list?:confused3 Anyway, we're staying at the Poly for the first time. Can't wait!!!:woohoo:

Awww, thank you so much! He's 4.5; he'll be 5 in Sept.:) Are we married to the same man?:rotfl2: DH is the EXACT same way.... he's very smart (tight) with money and does not like to make big decisions (like buying DVC either!);) I was VERY shocked when he agreed to take the tour!:scared1::woohoo::lmao: I never thought he would even consider it!:cheer2: I think DH had a wonderful time and also since it can be used at so many locations around the world, that helped sell it to DH. He likes Disney.... but not like I do!:rotfl2: He can go once every 2-3 years and that's plenty for him. I'm trying to start "the annual trip to the World" tradition at our house!:rotfl: I've mangaged to get 2/2 so I'm currently winning right now!:lmao: We had a chance this year to go to either Europe or Disney World and I picked.... you guessed it... Disney!:rotfl2: I really want to take DS to Disney while he's young since he enjoys the characters so much; we can go to Europe next year if we want. Glad your hubby decided to buy DVC... it's really alot of fun knowing you own a tiny part of the magic!pixiedust: I still remember the day our rep told us "Welcome home" Good to know that Tuesdays for MVMCP is a good choice! I can't wait!:cheer2: Too bad we're missing each other.:sad1: I hope you guys have a great trip!:cloud9:

that is so funny- they sound very much alike. my DH is an eTrade addict, always trading stocks and only looking to make some money to put away (he doesn't want to be stuck working forever into his old age!). anyhow, i was so surprised he wanted to the do the tour and even more shocked when he said yes to buying, even after crunching the numbers. we bought 200 points at BLT. we did think about it for about a month after our tour, but it is a done deal now! we can't wait. DH isn't a huge disney nut either, in fact, i think he kind of held a grudge against WDW since i left him for a semester to go do the WDW college program in 1996. we had been together (living together at the time) for 3 years and it was our SR year of college. He wasn't happy i moved away for a semester for the mouse. But we obviously stayed together! but i think he loved seeing our son enjoy it so much (even though he was only 2). That did it for him- he could see us going every year (or every other once he is a bit older). We are already planning for October 2011 for MNSSHP and food/wine! gotta take those off season trips while we can and he is not in school yet. ;) hey i am with you- Europe is great, but hard with a little one i imagine. he will appreciate Europe when he is a bit older and get more out of it then. they will only believe that is actually Pooh bear signing their autograph book for a few more years. :rotfl::wizard:

We are going November 28-December 5. Not sure how we get put on the list?:confused3 Anyway, we're staying at the Poly for the first time. Can't wait!!!:woohoo:
I'll get you added tomorrow! welcome!

So true!

We were watching Sound of Music one night and my four year old said Maria sounded like Mary Poppins. I was thinking, "Noooo! She's too young to figure it out!!" I'm glad we started taking our family when our youngest daughter was 2. I think too many families make the mistake of saying, "I'll take our kids to Disney when they are older." But once they are older, they know it's make-believe. I personally don't mind if my children don't believe in Santa...but not believing in Mickey Mouse or Ariel, now you're pushing it!

Our DD 11 has been to WDW 5 times including the first time when my husband and I went WDW trip in '99-I was pregnant and didn't know it! She loves knowing this! Her first "actual" trip was at 2 1/2 year's old and our DS's first trip was when he was 3! You're never too young or too old for Disney!!!!
