If you go through the first 7-8 pages of this thread there are specifics on ordering your cake and a ton of pictures of peoples cakes all in a row that the OP compiled from other threads. The slipper is post #21 on page 2.

Here are a few of the cakes I had for my birthday:

Where did you order the cake from -- What do I ask for specifically?
How many does it feed? Do you know if it comes in smaller sizes?
Did you get free Bday dessert every where you went?

The Mickey Cake (that is what I called it when I spoke with the woman.)was very good. I called the cake hotline and was connected with Chef Mickey's. I left a message and they returned my call the next day. We were a party of 8 and it was more than enough. We even took it back to our hotel room. The face is made of white chocolate (at least at Chef Mickey's. ) The one at the Grand Floridian looks a bit different from what I have seen on the threads.

I received free cupcakes and desserts at quite a few of our adr's. Ohana's , WCC, CRT and Rainforest Cafe. I mentioned when I made a couple of the adr's. My family blew me in on the rest. They had fun making fun of me since it was my 40th!:rolleyes1

I have an ADR for Chef Mickey's at 5:15, and are planning to go back to MK after the meal, if I ordered a cake, would they hold it for us after the meal until we had finished at the park and we could go back to collect it? I don't really want to carry around a half eaten cake.

Has anyone ordered a 10 inch cake from Teppen Edo or Tutto Italia? If you have, do you happen to have any pics? My dad loves dessert, but especially cake and we will be celebrating a couple of birthdays while in Florida!

I dont have a pic fo the cake but it was a standard white cake with some confetti sprinkles but the cake at Teppan Edo was AMAZING. So fresh and the icing was like a marshmallow fluff. OMG So yummy. :thumbsup2

How was the cupcake at CRT. It doesn't look like a regular cupcake, but more like a cake dome sort of? Did you get it at B,L, or D?

my mom and dd celebrated their birthdays, got the same cake at CRT for breakfast - do mention it on your adr's so that the restaurant can do the confetti and the tables for you!!

and the cupcakes were more moist then the one cake we pre ordered at LTT (the one you get at the podium, that I believe is a pre frozen cake)

I think the MM cake is a standard for the $45 cake...

the slipper desserts now can be preordered for CRT as well as GF restaurants (1900, grand tea, etc) the CRT slipper dessert is a bit different, but the CM that is arranging that, started a thread here somewhere, and a picture was posted , its on a "pillow" of angelfood cake with berries I believe (my memory doesnt always serve me well!)

This is my first post so I hope I'm doing this right.....My question is what cake/filling options are you given for the "Mickey Cake" if any?? We are planning a birthday trip for my son in Sept. and I am trying to plan as many special suprises for him as possible.

Last week we had our anniversary dinner @ Cape May with a cake ordered from the Broardwalk Bakery. It was 2 layers-white on white with a white choc castle on top. It cost $25 and it was so YUMMY!!!

so we are going down right after my bday and we are going to celebrate it there.. well my question is this.. I have already made adr's and didn't think nothing of it but should I call back and let them know we will be celebrating?? Or does that just sound silly??

oh definitely...call back and have them note all your ADRs....you deserve to have a little extra magic for your b-day!
:p

i just needed some opinions. ive been wanting to get a cake for my mom for her birthday while in disney and i was thinking of doing a specialty cruise. i was just curious if i leave from the grand floridian for the cruise will the bakery deliver to the dock or is there anyway i can pick it up since it is private dining? thank you

It was pretty good. I shared it with my 2 daughters, so not much to go around!:goodvibes They brought it out to me after we finished breakfast.

Welcome aboard! I think that you only have a choice of chocolate or vanilla. My family is full of chocolate nuts, so I didn't really ask about other options!:goodvibes

Happy Planning!

that "mickey cake" looks so good, but since it will be only DH and myself, i only wish it were smaller (although leftover cake for breakfast is tempting...)

They sell little Mickey Head cakes at the BW bakery. They are very cheap and yummy.
