How many people does the 6" cake serve? There are 5 of us in our family and I just wanted to know if this size cake would be enough or do I need a bigger cake?

Thanks

You all got such cute, origianal cakes.
I called Whispering Canyon today, (my dd's favorite restaurant) and was told all I could get was the 6 inch cake. Where do I have to eat to get my DD a custom cake to celebrate her 10th birthday? She loves Goofy and basketball and I was hoping to have a cake that would have them both on it.
Thanks for any help.

I forgot how to do the ticker, but we leave on 4/20/08!!!!!

We got a customized 8 or 10 inch (can't remember but I've mentioned it here before) for my FIL from WCC in October of 2007. It wasn't decorated all fancy but was pretty and tasted wonderful.

Has anyone had this kind of strawberry and cream or raspberry and cream filling in a chocolate cake? Could you get something like this from the BWB or MK Bakery?

Thanks!!

Stephanie

I had a chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and strawberries in between the layers, and a chocolate whipped frosting for my birthday in Dec. 07 from the bakery at the Poly (we ate at O'Hana). It was amazing. We got the 8" and it was plenty for us. I would call the BWB and speak with a baker. The chocolate and strawberry combination was great.

Hi,

I want to order the mini castle and cinderella shoe for my kiddies for our first night at 1900 park fare. My adr is May 9th. When should I call and order it?

They only need a few days notice (48 hours really). I wouldn't call any more than a week before so they don't have a chance to loose your order.

Then be sure to remind them at the podium.

My sister and I are headed to WDW in 27 days...I'd like to have a cake either waiting for us when we get to our room or pick it up at our resort and bring it back to the room. It's just the two of us so we won't need a big cake...All I want is a plain vanilla cake with "Happy Graduation" on it and a nice looking topper on it....

1. Where do I call to get it?
2. Where would be the best place to pick it up?
3. How much am I looking at?

Thanks!

My hubby and I have gotten the 6 inch twice and there was plenty left over. You should be fine. Especially if you are eating at someplace like 1900 Park Faire.

glad i checked these posts - got my answer: call no more than a week ahead to order mini castle cake for narcoosees!

i'm thinking all white: white cake, white buttercream frosting, white chocolate mousse filling, white chocolate castle on top

(reality check: whatever they have in white is what i'll get....)

Sorry if this question is posted in the middle somewhere.... but I couldn't make it all the way through the thread:rotfl2:

I am interested in getting my family the mickey with Tuxedo strawberries. We are staying at the POR, this is NOT a deluxe resort but a mod. Will they still deliver it to be in the room??

I hope so. Who would I contact for information to order?

I would call at least 2 weeks beforehand. Calling 2-3 days before would make me very nervous.

Just so you know...in actuality the castle (white choclate) will actually be off-white. So it will stand out on your white icing. When we got our anniversary cake with the "white chocolate" mickey and Minnie, I requested the buttercreme icing be off-white. They matched it up perfectly.
Here is a picture of it. It had white chocolate mouse with fresh raspberries in between the layers. It was so good!

Is there a place where you can see all the cake options. this Thread is so long, that it is hard to see all the pictures. Do they have a website. We are staying at the Poly, and I want to have a fathers day cake delivered to our room.

I had sent a fax to Port Orleans Front Desk inquiring about a graduation cake being made for my high school son and asked if I could have one made and sent to our room. I got a response back from Sandrine at the Port Orleans Riverside front desk that yes I could call thier number at 407-934-6000 and ask to be connected with the food/beverage office and tell them what kind of cake I'd like and they would make one and and if I told them I needed it delivered then they would send a runner down to our room to deliver it when we wanted it. She said to call 48 hours ahead of the day we wanted it. We are going to be arriving there on April 10th, can't wait!!!
I am sure this has been asked before, but I have a question about getting a cake delivered to our room at the French Quarter. My daughter's birthday is in the middle of our stay this May. I would like a cake delivered to our room while we are at the parks that day. I am assuming I would use Boatwright's at Riverside to order the cake?? Do they deliver cakes to the French Quarter??? Any help would be much appreciated.

Stacie

Anyone have picture of the mini castle cake or the glass slipper or tuxedo strawberries?? Thanks

Try calling their main office at 407-934-6000 and ask to be connected with the food/beverage office and tell them what you are looking for. They should be able to help.

This is great! The number you provided is that for POR? Or is that just a central line that I can call? I'd also like to have it in the room for when we got there...Anyone know if this is possible?

This cake is so cute, was it the same price as the castle cake?

That number is for Port Orleans main front desk. I am sure they will be able to deliver it to your room while you are in the parks but I am sure if you ask they will tell you.
