Hey! Has anyone got a cake or cupcakes from the Goofy's Candy Company? My daughter will be celebrating her 4th bday when we go (not for a while!!! I'm the EXTREME early planner) and I heard you can get one from there for a really good price but I haven't seen them.. Sorry if there is any on this thread. I couldn't make it through all 200+ posts. Does anyone have pictures, prices, experiences? Thanks.

OOH, that sounds yummy, I would like to know too! Thanks!

Hello! We will be eating at Coral Reef for a birthday dinner (actual date of birthday) during our September trip. I have a couple of questions and figured this is a wonderful place, and thread, to ask them! :goodvibes

1. I have hear that you cannot get a cake delivered to a Value Resort (we are staying at Pop). Is that really true?
2. Can we have a cake delivered to Coral Reef, perhaps for the dinner celebration?
3. Last summer I found a picture of a cake ordered from a Disney bakery that was small, a tiny castle cake. It looked like it would have an ivory icing perhaps, and seemed to sit on either a thin chocolate layer or a brown paper base (not sure). :confused3 Has anyone personally ordered such a cake, and if so, from where?

THANK YOU! Kimberly

You can have a cake delivered to any resort and most, if not all, TS restaurants, Coral Reef for sure. Call the cake hotline phone number listed on page one of this thread and follow the prompts to order a cake wherever you desire. Be advised you cannot request a cake from a particular bakery so your decoration and flavors may be limited.

The castle cake, as a PP mentioned, is only available at GF. If not staying there, you can order it at any GF restaurant.

I'm sure it is said somewhere in the 100+ pages of this thread but...when you call to order a cake, do you pay for it then or will they add it to our dinner bill? I will be ordering a birthday cake for my DD to have at our dinner at 1900 park fare.

Thanks

You pay for it with the meal.

I second the photos only thread. So who's going to start it? I don't have any pictures yet but I plan on it by the end of next month.

I have an idea. Would everyone be interested in a sticky thread of just cake pictures? I could organize it by location, and add the date posted. This thread has grown to 200 pages now. That's a lot of pages to skim for ideas.

I would update it once a week with pictures added from this thread. We could keep it clean, keeping the questions and comments here.
Just a thought.

I amlooking for photos and there are A LOT of pages here :O)

I ordered a cake for my Mom's birthday about 12 days prior. I posted about it somewhere in this thread. I got a 10 inch, Donald Duck, chocolate cake, whipped cream frosting. They quoted me $35 on the phone. This was for our dinner at Le Cellier.

I double checked at the podium about they cake. He said yes it was all set. We were seated, had dinner and then he asked about dessert. I thought, well maybe he is just trying to keep the suprise. So everyone ordered dessert. I should have at that point discretely asked him but I really thought since I had reconfirmed at the podium it had to be all set. Well he brings our desserts. I am at this point thinking something is really wrong. I ask him about it and his face goes blank. He has no idea about a cake. He goes to the kitchen and comes back. He apologizes profusely, says everyone in the kitchen was aware of the cake but no one told him. At this point I say we do still want it. He brings it out, already taped up in a box and hands it to me. I am dumbfounded. To first forget but then this is the presentation. I was bummed. I handed my Mom the box across the table (there were 6 of us) and said "Happy Birthday, here is your cake, sorry they screwed it up". We untaped it so she could at least see it. I thought he would have at least brought it out and presented it nicely, not just handed it to me in a box.

They did only charge me $25 and I was just not interested in dealing with that at the time (I think it should have been comped for the mistake but whatever). Dinner was fantastic (though it took extra long it seemed and he ended up putting my parents charges on my room card I discovered after the fact) and we had the cake back at the resort. I will say the cake was really, really delicious.

If I ever do this again though I will reconfirm not only with the podium but also with the server.

I am sorry if this has already been asked. We are having dinner at California Grill for my sons 15th Birthday in June. Is it better to order from the 1-800 number or at Grand Floridian/Contemporary are they all the same? Thanks alot.

This is a picture from my anniversary trip in September at Narcossee's absolutely amazing cake~It made me cry my eyes out! Filling was strawberry mousse and white chocolate buttercream under the fondant. I think it was 80 dollars. Totally worth it! Thanks so much for starting this thread or I wouldn't have not gotten this cake!:yay:

Hi,
Sorry...this is probably a really dumb question! We will be at Hoop Dee Doo for a birthday dinner. Do I call the cake hotline or the Hoop Dee Doo number on the front page to request a cake?
I really appreciate any help!

Good afternoon :goodvibes
Can anyone tell me if I can order a cake for the Rainforest Cafe in DTD? We will be in Disney celebrating my son's 10th birthday and he decided that he would like dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.
Thanks
Erin

Too cute! I really like this anniversary style cake, and would have ordered it, but we went with our Lady and the Tramp theme!

I was not sure, because it seems like around here if they do fondant only, or mayne they leave it on there and that is why it is not so good. I know with our wedding cake the fondant is removed, but they asked me on the phone when I called WDW if I wanted buttercream or fondant? That is why I wondered

I just wanted to include my recent experience with ordering a cake.

I called the hotline and was told that I could customize a 6" cake for a lunch at LTT. I was skeptical ( I had thought from reading previous posts that only 8" and larger could be customized) but this past tuesday, there it was waiting for us. I don't have a picture to post but it had a round fondant disc of Mickey mouse on the top and my husband's name. Also, the cake was fabulous. Moist and fresh. It was $12.50 and totally worth it for our party of 5.
