I'm staying on this thread. I like being surprised when I watch the show.

I just wonder what these people DO for a living -- I certainly couldn't give up my job and security for three months. My boss and I talked about applying for The Amazing Race (we'd make GREAT t.v. because we're like brother and sister) but with BOTH of us gone, the magazine would shut down!!

First, I'd just like to say what a cute pic in your signature.

I don't know many people who could take that much time off from work, but they do get paid while in the house.

I'd LOVE to be on Amazing Race. That's my favorite show!!

The houseguests DO get a stipend...but you're right. Who can take 3 mos. (plus who knows how many production meetings?) off?? My BIL works in casting for a reality show in its 5th season in L.A. (can't say which show, but it ISN'T BB or Survivor (my fave), unfortunately) and it's amazing what these people go through before AND during the tapings...

Ok Big brother fan here who just found this thread.
I really am dissapointed this year, and hate that CBS allowed that Janell to say such horribel thigs to the other house guest. I sent a email complaint telling them I thought it was awful and she should have been removed.
Is it just me or do you all hate how they show the episode beofre shots more then once and wasye a good ten mins. They never show anything that goes on in the house anymore!

We've been discussing this in length on the Big Brother Spoiler thread. The editing is showing Janelle and Howie to be really awful, but believe me the other group is dishing out just as much. They say the same things as J/H, only it's never to their faces and never makes it on TV. For those of you in the NY area at 1:00 AM tonight (Wed morning I guess you could say) is an episode of Blind date that features Howie!

Well that is what my niece told me, she said she saw the previews of it.

It is going to be on UPN9.

My Tivo is set!
there is one at 1:00 am and one at 1:30 am, I think it is the 1:00 since the description says something like a shallow strip club employee brings his date swimsuit shopping (LOL) but I have it set for both just to be safe!

I was afraid our local CBS station wouldn't show BB last night because they had stupid hurricane coverage on all day. (BTW we only got a little rain and hardly any wind.) When I checked at 7:30pm to see if they had regular programing back on all the local channels were out. They finally got it working again around 8:30pm.

Did I miss anything good in the first half hour?

I saw it when they started casting their votes. Ivette and Janelle were laughing and Janelle said, "I'm sorry America." What was that all about?

I was trying to figure that out too and then after she came back she said something like, well all of America knows im wearing white (she had on a green dress) so im thinking she meant her undies?? maybe the way she was sitting she flashed the camera and thought it was being shown on the live show?
Maybe someone with the live feeds knows for sure.

Did anyone else think Julie's head seemed unusually large last night? I'm sure it was her 'do, but once I noticed, I coudln't stop thinking about it. I said something to DD, and then that was all we could look at when she was on screen!

ok - random - but I use "Olay Quench" body lotion. Love it...however, it does leave some "shimmer" behind. Which is fine on my legs...I dont' care...but I was sitting on my parents deck one day and my brother comments "You going to a disco later?" heheheh
