We just received our "little package" in the mail yesterday, and it contained, as many of you who received a similar package already know, a small personalized booklet highlighting our upcoming trip next August, and it also included a USB flash drive that connects you to a couple webpages that described MDE, Magic Bands, and other recent roll-outs... If you frequent the threads on this board, it's really no "new" information being shared, but it does serve as the first official propaganda we've received from the mouse.

I think what I like the best out of this whole package is the magnet that was included on the last page of the booklet which lists key dates leading up to our check-in, like when we can reserve ADRs, make fast pass reservations, etc. It's not too lengthy, but a nice little reminder you can stick on the fridge at home!

That's so exciting! Did you have to enter a Magic Band shipping address before this came or is it just going to the address on your reservation? I just added the shipping address to my magic band today.

If it came tomorrow I could bring it to Christmas and share with my mother and nephew (my son and my travel partners). I think they'd be more excited about that than the presents!

Joining the August bandwagon. Our trip is scheduled for Aug. 20th to Sept 1st. We are staying at our favorite resort, again, Riverside, yeah. I've already have our meals planned ( not booked of course).

Hi everyone! I'm planning a mid August vacation at the world. We stayed at Pop last summer for a week and aside from the disgusting heat and sweating we had a great time. It was my first trip to the world as a mommy. In summer 2012 we cruised on The Fantasy which was amazing- we are supposed to sail again July 5 but DH and I have decided that we can do far more for far less at WDW than with DCL, so we'll be canceling and I'm pretty relieved because my kids are going to be so psyched to go back (and so will I)!

So in August (dates tbd) I will be traveling with

DH - 34, My plan of turning him into a disnerd is working slowly, but I've seen progress!

DS - 5 - loves Cars and is starting kindergarten next fall

DD - 3 loves Minnie and the princesses and the Dumbo ride. I think we will definitely be doing princess breakfast together this year!

Last year my parents joined us for a few days of the trip and that was so helpful. We also were early MB testers which was so much fun. We got to double dip with fp- which we didn't get to really take advantage of bc our kids are so young there wasn't a use for us but it was still cool just to know we could

We will probably do 5 day non hoppers again. Then we can do each park- MK twice. I think we will skip water parks again- the kids love the pool so maybe when they are older and can truly enjoy.

So now the resort dilemma. Pop met all our needs. I would LOVE to try someplace new but am chicken (cheap) to upgrade to a mod. I also thought about trying Wyndham BC but unless I knew we could still get MB's I am not interested. I got a quote of $427 a night for a Cars suite at AOA which is not going to happen.

We didn't do the meal plan last year. Hemmed and hawed over it but ended up with no regrets. Our table service meals were Biergarten- hated, Chef Mickey- LOVED, and Dis Jr play and Dine- liked. This year besides princess breakfast I might like to try Tusker House breakfast or Crystal Palace- we are not a Pooh family but I want to get into MK before RD! Chef Mickey's is a must do for our "off" day.

Any loves/hates about the all star resorts would be helpful!

We will be driving from the northeast! We liked having our car last year. And the drive wasn't too bad.

Looking forward to planning together!

I just wanted to say All Star sports just had a complete refurb in their food court and it looks amazing! I think All Star music is slated to have a food court refurb sometime in 2014.

We've stayed at music twice and liked it. I would always recommend a preferred room at Music though because of the layout of the resort.

The in-laws got their CSR reservations with a AAA discount so no free dining for them. So while it makes financial sense for us to get the dining plan because of the two kids and their love of character meals, they will be paying out of pocket.

Red, I have ressies for THV early August. I am looking for AAA Discount to apply to exising ressie, at the time I made them there was not anything available (early November). Did your inlaws book through WDW directly or their AAA agent?? Thanks!

I booked for them directly through AAA and I was so impressed with our agent that I transferred our reservation to her.
