Know the feeling. I keep thinking well today is Sunday and in month from toady we will be having our first full day at Disney and this is what we will be doing at this time.

Same! 4 sundays from now we'll have had breakfast at 'Ohana and will be in Epcot. *sigh* Talk about mixed emotions, I can't wait to go but I don't want summer to end either! LOL

I'm totally doing the same thing... driving my coworkers NUTS (I assume with envy )... BTW, 18 days from now I'll be watching Wishes on the beach at the Poly!!!

What do they charge you to laminate items ? I went after work last night and purchased laminating material at Walmart. I have lots of things to laminate on my days off this week. I have been a little skeptical about using this material but was going to give it a shot.

I don't know how much it is but I decided to buy one from Amazon for 30 dollars a few weeks ago... BEST PURCHASE EVER! I've made luggage tags, stroller tags, meal invites... It came with the sheets in three sizes and I still have a ton more! Works great... but I am going to try double laminating now that the suggestion was made!!

I got a Target red card a few weeks ago, which saves me 5% off my purchases. It is an automatic debit card, straight from my checking account. I saw on the Dis that you can use the card to save 5% on gift cards. I gave it a shot today, and it worked! It doesn't sound like much, but we have to pay for the dining plan and pay to upgrade to our APs, so we still have about $1100 to pay for our trip. I figure I can get my gift cards through Target first, then save $60 for the trip. Hope this helps someone else!

I did the same thing! I got $1050 in gift cards and paid $997.50. That's totally worth it!!

What do you think? This plan is create by me solely. (DH doesnt care much, he loves food an whatever I am feeding him is OK)

This trip we will be celebrating my princess 4th birthday on 9/1 and our 5 yrs wedding anniversary also.

Question: I am not sure if anyone ask this yet but how about we have all the DH watch the kids while all the planning Mom took a break and went out for a drink? (sorry, my DH is not involve in any way with this planning, so I think I deserve a break)

I think we'll be at SciFi at the same time- our reservation is for 12:45 on the 30th. Are you from MN? I am, too, and we are celebrating our 5th anniversary and my DD turns 4 on Sept 24- we have a lot in common!

Our trip is 8/16-8/21. We are going to Disney World and Sea World. The last time I was there I was 6 years old. I'm turning 40 in a month. My DH has never been and we are taking our 6 year old DS. I cannot wait!!!

I would love to have a team August Mickey head. I am just now joining the thread. My dates are 8/29- 9/5 and we are staying at POFQ. I have been listed on the sept. thread for a while now and happened to pop into this one. You are all Disney dreaming just like me so I figured I would join in where the action is happening.

WELCOME!! And you have another Team August at POFQ with pretty much the same dates. How awesome is that?

While going over our final plans for our trip next week , I realized I have 1 too many ADRs scheduled. We will only have 6 DDP credits so I need to cancel something. Here is our current schedule:

8/6 - Epcot - Akershus (1) 12:10 & Garden Grill (2) 7:10
8/7 - MK - Crystal Palace (3) 11:40 & Wishes Dessert Party 9:10 (not DDP)
8/8 - non park day - 1900 Park Fare (4) 4:30
8/9 - MK - CRT (5&6) 3:55
8/10 - HS - Mama Melrose (7) Fantasmic Dining Package 12:00

The girls requested CP, CRT and Akershus so I need to keep those for sure. We have never Garden Grill or Mama Melrose and have never seen Fantasmic.

What would you do?

I would cancel either MM or GG. Or else find a way to pay for one ADR OOP. We're thinking of paying for Trex OOP to give us the room to keep our Tusker House breakfast.

GG: We're trying it for the first time this trip. I'm not hugely excited about it, but my kids really want to eat in a revolving restaurant and I think they will love it. Some Team August DISers have also recently given some good reviews about the food

MM: Menu sounds good, but we have plenty of good Italian in my city so not something I seek out. I usually just get a CS meal and eat it in the theatre. I get there 1.5 hrs early and just hang out and eat dinner then do some pin trading while we wait. So, I haven't made any Fantasmic ADRs.

can i get a LGMH with sweetcanadian on the bottom but instead of my name on top have it say Bride? then a second one that just says Groom on top, Geno on the bottom & a third that says Son on top & Austin on the bottom plz (they are not on the dis but we all should have one lol)

Yes i know i have it backwards but that is ok, i would rather bride before my user name anyways lol. The mickey & friends is what i would like.


Also, question.........What is everyone doing with their animals?

My dog is not quite 8 months yet but will be when we go. He is a big baby with seperation anxiety. We left him at the kennel the night of the bachelor/bachelorette & he was so nervous he did not want them anywhere near him. He has never acted like that before.

I was going to put him in the kennel if i had too but thankfully my brother is going to stay here, bear loves him as much as he loves us. He looked after him when my husband had emergency surgery in march so he got to know him well. He gets super excited when he visits so i know he will be ok.

12 days is a long time, he would feel abandoned. At least at home he will know we are coming back.

We are lucky- my mom is staying with our dogs. I hate sending them to a kennel. Although we have a great kennel that we use where the 2 dogs can share a kennel and they get lots of love while we're gone. But it's nice that they get to stay at home this time.

I'm in Cottage Grove! We're staying at the CSR. We'll be there the 25th through Sept 1. DS is starting high school this year, so we're coming back on Saturday to give us a couple days to re-coup before school starts. So we'll be going into Sci Fi when you're leaving, probably. What a small world

One of our neighbors visits every day to feed, clean litter box and giving some much needed loving to my furbaby cats. We always bring her something from Disney as a thank you gift.

Still looking for a sitter at our home to sit with our cat who will have had her kittens by the time we leave. Go figure!! We tried to keep her contained however she gave DH the slip one night on his way out the door to work and I was already at work. So now we have a big issue!!!!

What to do with animals? We have hermit crabs, do you know how hard it is finding a hermit crab sitter Grandma is taking them home thursday night. I kept saying I was taking them with us,lol.

So its 2 am, I have 4 days to go now and I am awake. Yup, starting already. I am already anxious because my niece is at Labor and Delivery, got induced at 8 pm! I love her but have mixed emotions, she is young and while I know it will work out, its still a bit sad that her childhood is gone. But I know the wonder of being a mother and how nothing compares so I hope it brings her the joy I have
Enough sappy, my other issue, I cannot find my DSLR camera battery! I am panicking. Its got to be here, I even looked in outlets in case I put it there to charge. Arg, if I dont find it tomorrow, I might have to order a new one online and over night it. I dont want to leave the camera home.
I keep going over my ADRs in my head, need to finish getting it down in my chart and put the confs in my phone. Now is probably a good time to set email up on my Iphone that I got in November.

my ods is 6, he really keeps thinking some how he will grow big enough to get on Rockin Roller coaster...by friday! He is just about 46" hard to get them to stand well enough but even with shoes, not going to happen. He is a super thrill seeker. Yds, 4, keeps saying that I am taking him on tower or terror. I dont want to ride tower of terror but gladly DH will. Ods said it was one of his favorites. So now I need to defice if I wil infact go on it. Yikes!
