****OFFICIAL August, 2012 (PART 2)****

Good luck!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Thank you!

I went back after 15 years! I'm a long way from done and not completely sure what I'm doing. Good luck! I did terrible on math placements, just finished my third if 3 non credit maths to just get to college math. I am terrible at it, I spent a lot if last 2 semesters crying and struggling. I passed, because she noticed my effort(AKA I failed but she passed me:(
I hope you do well

I did terribly the last time I took them, around 13 years ago. At that point I didn't really have my head in the game, as far as school goes. Two years later my son was on his way, so... But glad to hear you are going back, there are a lot of us doing this now! Good luck in finding your path!

I'm a massage therapist and would like to have more credentials, but you can't really get a master's in massage. So I'm going back to undergrad, will be in my junior year, and then it's off to more school to obtain my doctorate in Physical Therapy. It's exciting, but it's going to be a long haul! Being an LMT definitely helps because I can make my own schedule. :)

Thank you, too!

I think I did alright! I took my time, worked and re-worked the problems. There were definitely things I had no clue about, like trigonometry! And to be honest, I really should have brushed up on calculating percents. But in the end, I think I did way better than last time around. I'll know my results Friday. *fingers crossed*

ACK!!!!! Someone stop me:headache::eek:

I just had that resort reservation changing urge again. I've been fine for weeks and all of a sudden was overtaken with thoughts like "the cabins are too isolated, I want to be in the action" and "If we don't rent a golf cart we'll be miserable, I could go to a value cheaper"..

This is how it starts people. I am giving you a rare glimpse into the mind of a compulsive resort changer:rolleyes1

Make me stop!!!!!:rotfl:

Oh lord, I am obviously so far behind in the news.....

I know you started out at AoA. Then you switched to the Beach Club, right? Then the GF? Then back to....was it Port Orleans? (this is where I get kind of lost :rolleyes1). Now did you then switch to Fort Wilderness at some point? Oh, my head.....:headache: .

Does you family even remember where they are staying at this point? :rotfl: Obviously I don't.

You are such a fun diversion :goodvibes .

Hahaha, oh my. :lmao:
Sarcasm....just another service Gina provides.....I LOVE that woman!!!! :lmao:

Pigletto.....step away from the computer....slowly...steadily....back up.....that's it....calmly.....breathe...ok....

:lmao::rotfl::lmao:

You make a valid point. I may be a fickle resort changer, but I am a kind friend. I won't do that to you all:rotfl:

WE LOVE YOU, PIGLETTO......:lovestruc

You people make me laugh out loud..seriously:lmao:
Thank you!! I needed that today.

This is the conversation we just had in our house...

Me.. Are we SURE we want to stay at the Cabins?

Dh.. Well, I don't know, are you sure you don't want a divorce?

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Ok. Cabins it is.:laughing:

We'll be there August 15-24... we're checking out to move to ASMu the day you check in! I guess we'll get it warmed up for you! I've never been to Coronado and never stayed any place other than Pop so I'm VERY excited!! We're definitely spending some time at the pool.

I always love the Olympics but really will this year... it's going to help time pass by quicker!! :lmao: Also, I just heard they're going to do a Harry Potter / Voldemort battle during the Opening Ceremony and it's really going to be Daniel Radcliffe doing it! So exciting!! :wizard:

I don't know if this counts as a QOTD, but I was wondering if anyone else is participating in the YES program, and if so when and what class??

Too funny!

Here's my bleach stencil tank that I finally did today. Who knew that bleach loses it's potency over time? Not me! I don't use bleach a whole lot - well, I do in certain cleaning products, but as far as the jug of straight clorox, nope, not so much. I tried this twice and it didn't do a thing...didn't change the color of the tank which was brand new and washed in Tide, no fabric softener before the 1st attempt. Washed it the same way after the 2nd failed attempt, bought new bleach yesterday and did this today after spending a few hours at Busch Gardens.

And just for giggles, here's the shirt I made for my 6 year old niece for her birthday. My SIL and I had been talking about stuff from when we were growing up and one thing led to another, LOL!! I'm currently working on a couple of ribbon barrettes for her. The ones that had the ribbon sort of braided onto a double bar barrette and then the ends hung down. Cupcake is my nickname for her. :)

Too cute littlezar!!
And that is really odd about the first bottle of bleach. I don't use mine often either.. I wonder if it's still any good:confused3

:rotfl2: I joined team August let, so I hadn't realized you changed your resort so many times. Too funny! :rotfl:

Someone shorter than me! I'm just about 5ft even. I'm surprised we have so many shorties on this thread - usually I'm the shortest around by far.

Maybe like how we have the ADR list and resort list, we should just make a list of all the short people on this thread. Or the 5'2" list! I would be on it!

Mickey Mail came today!:wizard: I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Department of Health showed up this morning. No more worrying about having to cancel now. 34 days to go!!!

Yay! I'm so glad they came! :woohoo:

Just found this thread. August can't get here fast enough!!!

Tell me about it.

So here it is..

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW OWWWW OWWW OWWW OWW WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO FRICKIN HOOOOOOOOO

Thanks! I asked my Mom if she knew that (she works at a supermarket, LOL) and her reply "Well, everything else has an expiration date these days...."

I had seen it on pinterest and decided to try it. Here's the website that I followed. Bleach Stencil Shirt After I had issues, I googled just to double check and see what others said as far as time and bleach/water ratio. I read anywhere from a few minutes to 20 minutes and 20-50% ratio. With brand new clorox, I think it turned and I was rinsing it in a bucket of water within 3 minutes. It was really easy once the bleach worked! I googled for a Stitch image that you'd be able to tell was Stitch even without the details. I printed it out on cardstock in b/w (to save ink since I just changed the color cartridges!) and cut it out. I did a 50/50 bleach/water mixture in a spray bottle. Put plastic inside the shirt so bleach wouldn't bleed through, laid the stencil down, sprayed a fine mist a whole bunch of times (20 maybe?) maybe a 1-1 1/2 feet above it and putzed around cleaning up the toys on the deck. (You probably didn't need to know that!) Realized it changed really quickly and rinsed it in a bucket of clear water. It's currently outside drying.

Still no closer to a job decision here - although the CEO apparently asked lots of questions about me and the last thing she said to him was "Think 'westward.'" I am on pins and needles all the time!! I keep telling myself it will be over soon...at least the not knowing WHERE. Then comes next set of crazy-making circumstances...negotiating with my company (where I just became an owner) to work both part time AND remotely...selling my house...moving...settling DS in a new school. It's all exciting and honestly, after being in a miserable marriage for so long, I had given up on the idea that I'd ever get to be happy again...so sometimes it feels too good to be true. Like this can't possibly be happening to me. :love:

*sigh* OK now I'm just rambling and making myself all weepy, so I'll stop. :) I need to get my packing for the Dominican Republic done - I'm planning on driving to NYC tomorrow after work and staying through Sunday afternoon. It would be great to have my suitcase packed so I can leave it there. That way when I take the train back down on Wednesday, I won't have to fool with handling the suitcase in Penn Station and on the subway.

Ok...I'm really going to pack now!! REALLY!! I mean it! (Why am I still sitting here???)

Morning my fellow Augustonians! Had a rough night with my boy, he got some kind of viral bug that gave him a fever up to 103 yesterday and most of the evening. I finally got it settled by 3am to about 100. Checked his throat this morning and it looked awful, got him to the doc, no strep :cheer2: But, even though hes 14, mama bear cant sleep when her cub is sick so I am exhausted. Perked me up when I saw my ticker today though. I can finally say I am 1 month away from Disney!!!

Off to take a nap while he's resting, I shall be back later to try to catch up on what I've missed. Seems like quite a bit!

Have a good day all!

My kids had a fever, headache and were very restless this past week as well. It lasted about 24 hours and then they were fine. I see you live near me so it must be something going around. I hope he feels better soon.

I seriously LOLed at that to the point of tears. That is totally something MY DH would say and I would do. Hilarious. Thanks for sharing. :rotfl:

:coffee:
Being a confirmed caffiene addict, I need to have my morning coffee more than anything else (but afternoon, evening and midnight coffee is good, too :rotfl2: )

I'm tired of hunting down a drinkable cup of joe when I need it (not just want it, - I get headaches, and then I get cranky, and then....), and ending up with (deleted). Especially at night - the coffee bars are closed, and the Nescacrap has been circulating through the radiators all night, and even 15 creamers can't help it.

So, for this trip I bought a Black & Decker 'Brew & Go' for about $18USD at K-Mart. It's a single serve brewer that has its own filter (or use #1 size paper cones), and travel mug, and uses regular ground coffee. Makes around 12 ounces, I think. Gets very high rating in the reviews. The box is about 7x7x10 ± and I'll find it space, somehow, somewhere. Might even take a checked bag to carry it.
We always do a grocery run asap, and I'll pick up a tin of coffee, a case or 2 of bottled water and a couple cartons of cream (depends on what size fits in the new fridges).

In case of dire emergency, there's a Dunkin' Donuts on the corner of 535 and 435, just north of the DTD Gate that serves rather decent coffee - or did, last I knew.

Now -- if Tim Hortons would open a branch location in Epcot....... :worship:

Oh you make it sound so simple:worship: If I could only find room for a coffee pot-I think DH would think I was over the edge if I tried to shove it in our 1 suit case or my carry on. I have milk and half and half for DH being delivered with my groceries and find out NO coffee maker. Thankfully they do when we move to AKL so just 2 mornings to figure it out. Ill be sipping my Starbucks Via. Its got to be better then Nescafe. I am honestly so surprised Disney still has that crap

Thanks for that! Much appreciated. I will check out the link too, love pinterst. I think I may give it a shot this weekend... wish me luck :rolleyes:

Our commando August family has been picked for a Disney marketing research study before, during and after our trip. Sounds exciting. See thread on Theme parks page about hand held video camera survey. Our cameras have been shipped. Somebody wants to listen to me talk! :lmao:

Awesome post! I am really worried about the coffee situation myself, so I will be looking into this. Not sure if I'm renting a car yet, and if not than I will be one grouchy/tired/headachy mom. No fun!
