12 days till our 2009 family trip

DW has already been packing outfits and asking opinions on different outfits. Hopefully this year the luggage doesn't cost me an arm and a leg as they are ALWAYS over the weight limit !!!

Good luck telling your surpise we did that one our last trip (night before) and DD's just didn't believe us at all .. even as we parked at the airport. The excitment hit sitting on the plane ..

The whole night before any WDW trip I just lay think all excited thinking "I'm goint to WDW!!" I guess part of you being a kid never dies ..

Well, I was there once, for one day, but I was young and don't remember much at all.

My hubby & 3 kids are going for the 1st time! We live about an hour away from Orlando-- and we have 4 birthdays & our anniversary within this month, so instead of gifts and parties we treated ourselves to annual passes!


We're heading to Orlando on Sunday afternoon (16th), going to go to Disney in the late afternoon for the first time. We'll go back on Monday morning, my son's b-day, and probably spend most of the day there, then drive home.

We're driving back in on Wednesday (19th) for a day trip my birthday because they said since we have passes we don't get the free admission on our birthdays, we get gift cards (as long as they don't fall on blackout dates.)

If you find yourselves at DTD about 11:30 AM, stop by the Waterside Stage in front of World of Disney. A dance troop from NJ wil be performing. One will be my daughter!

Thank you. This may be the studio's last trip to WDW. Looking at other venues for the future (Bush Gardens 2010).

Told our son today, his birthday, that we are going in 2 weeks. We showed him the Samantha Brown episode on the Yatch and Beach Club and he can't wait to get in that pool. He got a lot of Disney dollars for his birthday and is already planning how to spend them. DD just wants to see Mickey.

Has anyone double checked park hours lately? We're supposed to be at AK on Aug 25th. The hours had been listed as closing at 7pm so I have 6:45 Yak and Yeti reservations, now the Disney site is listing a closing time of 5pm. Whats a girl to do?

We leave next Wed. driving to TN to meet my MIL who will be vacationing there. So free place to stay on the way to FL! We will check in on the 21 hopefully not too late. The kids have no idea we are going to DW. They think we are just going to Sea World. I can't wait to see their faces!!!! Thank you Disney for the Military passes!

I have an ADR at Y&Y for 5:15 PM on 8/18, the park was closing at 6 and now closes at 5. I don't know what wil happen with my reservation, I guess I'll find out next Tuesday.

BTW: I am still able to see the confirmation online, so I guess that's good
