Mine too! I can't seem to get my hands on it, though.
I love it too. Thankfully, my Mom has most of them somewhere, be it on VHS or DVD. She's slowly trying to build up her DVD collection as her VHS collection is wearing out, then it'll be time for Blu Rays. lol

:banana::banana::banana:

You may very well see me! I stand out due to my very bright red hair :thumbsup2

YAY! Me too! I recently had my very first 'drastic' hair change, from golden blonde (which I have been my whole life) to a deep copper red. It faded pretty quickly, but I'm getting it re-done with a little more red in it soon :D

I just saw Wreck-It Ralph with the boyfriend, and we LOVED it! Take the kids, take the other half, just go see it, because it's adorable. Especially if you're into older video games (Pac-Man, Frogger, Q-Bert, etc.) Can't wait to see if they have the cabinet version of Fix-It Felix at the AoA arcade! :)

Really?? I wonder if its back in the vault....we have it on DVD. Also, the Sword in the Stone is one my girls love!

Agreed!! Took my girls this weekend. GREAT movie!! :thumbsup2

I told dh the other night that we were going to have to watch some Disney movies so he would be ready for WDW. We don't do evil, magic, hauntings, etc. in our house so there are just some things at WDW that we skip. Our first trip was in October :scared1: and I am truly amazed that he wanted to go back. Anyway, seeing the pictures of the outside of the Beast's Castle and the West Wing in BOG (where I have an ADR), I really need him to watch Beauty and the Beast so he will understand the flow of the story. Otherwise I might not get him in the door. :bitelip:

I need to get the kids to re-watch BATB too since we'll be eating at BOG. I've never actually seen it myself so I should watch it as well. I don't know how I'm going to get them to rewatch all these movies without telling them we're going. They'll probably go for Toy Story and Nemo and stuff like that but convincing them to watch Bambi & Dumbo might be a little tough, lol. I'll have to bribe them with popcorn or other junk food. :rotfl:
Ooooh, that's something I can work on this week. I'm going to type up a list of every Disney movie I want us to watch and assign them dates. I want to work it out so we we're watching every week from January 'til our trip. That's probably about 15 weekends so I'll have to come up with the most important 15 movies. Hmmmm......

so QOTD: what are the MUST-SEE Disney movies?? We're staying at AoA so I think I have to make the first 4:

1. Cars
2. Nemo
3. Little Mermaid
4. Lion King

4. Lion King

Monsters, Inc! - one of our family favorites!!
Princess and the Frog
Nightmare before Christmas - in heavy rotation this time of year! :goodvibes
Definitely Beauty and the Beast
Cinderella (I know you have boys, but it's a classic, and they might think the mice are fun)
Lilo and Stitch

It's so hard, we have them all, and love them all!!

Winnie the Pooh! The one that came out last year (I think it was last year) is quite short but so amazing.

1. Cars
2. Nemo
3. Little Mermaid
4. Lion King
5. Beauty & the Beast

I'm trying to think of movies that are really reflected in the parks. (We've seen them all before so it's not like any of it will be new, but just a refresher. :D )

What about the new Dumbo/Big Top area - I assume there's a lot of Dumbo references around there??

I just can't watch Dumbo.....there are so many things wrong with that movie, lol

LOl, I think there's a lot wrong with a lot of the movies if we think about it hard enough, lol. :scratchin

Totally! plus you have to remember the context and time period in which the film was made. Depending how old kids are, I think it can be used as a teaching moment. That's what my mom did when she showed me Dumbo for the first time

The original 1970s (I think) "Winnie the Pooh" is my 4-year-old's current favorite! It's hysterical watching it with him because it was my favorite back in the day. ;)

In addition to others mentioned, Aladdin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty ... the first Tinker Bell movie, maybe?

Fantasia held his interest surprisingly well. Fantasia 2000 might be a better fit. (Not as slow and not as frightening in places.) Or you can at least watch "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" portion for the origin of the iconic blue hat.

Believe it or not, I have never seen the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. (Any of them!):lmao: DH and I are going to watch, at the very least, the first one. Is it something kids can watch with some judicious editing?

"Star Wars." :cool2: If you're going to HS, anyway. And maybe more by April ...

For me - I can’t stand the message of Beauty and the Beast. That’s the only current one that really bothers me. Nobody should fall in love with the person who kidnapped her. That’s just sick and wrong in my opinion. ;)

I just bought Peter Pan on DVD. That one has the “What makes a red man red?” song in it. Disney definitely doesn’t have a history of being politically correct. :confused3

For BatB, Disney actually improved the story tenfold. Have you ever seen the 1946 French film? Belle is essentially sold off to the Beast by her father who doesn't want to be enslaved and she is held against her will, whereas in the Disney version, Belle isn't kidnapped but rather volunteers to take her fathers place, which actually gives her some autonomy. Not to say it doesn't have it's problems, but Disney made an effort to make the story more appropriate at least.

I just hate Beauty and the Beast because we did it at our school two years ago. I spent over $1000 on voice lessons for the auditions and I was clearly the best vocalist in the class (I was told this by my music teacher and voice coach, although unfortunately neither were involved with the production)...I aced my audition and thought I had a chance.

I was cast as the Wardrobe and my only song, Human Again, was cut because 'nobody was good enough to sing it'. The two Belles hadn't sung a note in their lives and I honestly cringed every time I heard them.

:headache::mad::headache::mad::headache:

So...yeah, no BATB for me. I'll deal with BOG because their Turkey Sandwich sounds good. :rotfl2:

When my girls were really little, some of their favorites were Jungle Book, Aristocats and Lady and the Tramp. In fact, we still love all three!
