***Official April 2013 thread*** SEE POST # 4028

so now that ADRs are made and nothing to do but wait.....is anyone else planning their *next* trip after that (in their head)? I'm planning the next 2, lol. I think as soon as we get back from this one, I'm going to start putting away $$ for a mini-trip (like 3 nts.) for just DH and I for my b-day in August. We'll stay at one of the EPCOT hotels (i'm thinking BWI) and probably just do Epcot while there.
And THEN, after that.... I'll start saving for a short mother/daughter trip (maybe 3-4nts.)for YDD and I. I'm thinking maybe next January or February. I was thinking POR Royal Rooms for that.

I wish! This is the last family vacation for me, and I'm hopefully moving to Winter Park (just off of Orlando) for college. If financial aid works in my favour, I might think about saving for an AP or even just a short trip...but it's definitely on the waaaaay back burner. Gotta get into a good school and work hard so I can eventually afford all these Disney trips!

Guilty! I was thinking early November or early December 2014 for the next trip. But that's all I'm doing, thinking.

I wish I could. But this is a much-saved-for trip for the first time in seven years ... I have no idea when we'll go back. My parents badly want to go with us, but that's not happening next year. If we do eventually go with them, that will probably be our next trip.

My Dad really wants to take DS2 on the Richard Petty Driving Experience, now that they've opened it up to kids. I think you have to be 6, and he's 4 right now ... so at least then.

BTW, thanks for the advice about Fantasmic, folks. I think we'll try to do it!

Well, sort of, lol! I did promise DD a short stay at AoA sometime next year (after I canceled our last night in a LK suite, in favor of extending our package at YC.) Thanksgiving would be the obvious time, since we'll be in south FL visiting my family anyway.

But if, say, a good discount was to come out for May or June, that might be even better I know my parents are going to be annoyed that we are (once again) making a Disney trip without including a visit to them... If we were coming right back to FL within the next few weeks then it would be more forgivable. (That's how we justified it the last two times). And since its a suite, I could invite my parents to come stay with us.

We would probably do another non-parks trip, just DtD and hanging out at the resort. Of course this would all depend on being able to find reasonable airfare, and I'm afraid to even look. Sigh. But I can dream!

As for our next big family trip, it's probably several years out. I do have this fantasy that we'll get such a great BB offer that I'll be able to convince DH that two years in a row isn't overkill, but the chances of that becoming reality are slim to none, ha!

Planning our 10 yr anniversary trip in Sept 2014! That will be the next trip so we can save up...going to Aulani and Disneyland . Without Kids!!!!!

No plans for another trip on the horizon. I have too many other places to see and I don't have the money or the vacation days to do another Disney trip so soon. You guys are all super hard core Disney vacationers! I love it!

They take each one of their grandchildren when they turn 5, it is now my daughter (and her wonderful parents, and younger brother's) turn! I am so excitied that I have been doing "research" for months now! We live near Seattle, so it is a long haul for us and we won't be doing it very often so I want this to be a great trip. I have found airfares for $275 per person round trip on United! Awesome price, I keep telling my Mother, but she keeps just doing nothing. So I am just waiting, and waiting, and waiting... Some day I might be able to book ADRs...sigh! But I am having a ton of fun planning and reading in the mean time!

I was looking for a March 2013 thread like this. Found two that are both titled "Official" but neither one of them has a first post with people's dates and resorts. I thought that was how all the "Official" threads were done -- If you decided to do an "official" thread, then it was your responsibility to track everything. But that doesn't seem to happening on the two threads I found. Can anyone find one for March 2013 that I must be overlooking?

Since our April dates on this thread are so empty at the beginning of the month (same for the ADRs), I thought I'd invite a few folks from there to share their planning here. With that first week of April being higher crowd levels, I know these people are out there, we need to find them!

I tried to write a TR, but ran into a problem-Google Chrome for iPad will refresh a page if you go to another tab for too long. Convenient when you're just on a page like this thread, not so much when you're writing a novel! I lost everything. :/ I'll wait a little longer to start and write somewhere else before I put it here next time!

Ugh preparing for the worst case scenario.....too many days off followed by too many snow days = no April vacation = no WDW
