OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

TWO envelopes?

We have two separate reservations - a package for 7 nights and then room only for two nights, so our ME stuff came on two different envelopes - one for the trip there, and one for the trip home.

If anybody still needs a rental car- I was checking Dollar today and rates have gone way down since the last time I checked. I can get a full size 8 days for $230(that is w/ no codes) That's a lot better than the nearly $400 I was seeing. I also heard Alamo has gone down as well. Anybody get any better deals?

54 days for us :)
Last night we did a theme night! Since it was Dr. Seuss bday and we are doing the Universals we made it a Cat in the Hat theme. We've also done Cars2 and have yet to do our Toy Story3 and the last Harry Potter movie. I LOVE theme nights :) so much fun:thumbsup2

I once again was able to shave off the price for our minivan this morning throug Dollar. For 8 days, we're only paying $289. Started at $650 in December and have been checking prices daily and this is the fourth ressie change I've made. Enterprise has come down quite a bit too. Avis, Hertz, National and Alamo hasnt budged.

I checked Enterprise, but they still can't beat my Alamo deal of $330-ish for a minivan for ten days :)

Dollar LOOKED good and then I realized I wasn't looking at the grand total after all the taxes, etc.

I just called to see if there were any PIN codes attached to my name. Alas, there weren't. :(

We'll have a fabulous time anyway... but free dining sure would have been nice!

You can't really do anything to get them except let Disney know you exist. Create a profile on their website, price vacation pkgs etc. They seem to be fairly random...or based on things out of your control like low attendance from certain parts of the country. Just call disney and give them your name and tell them you want to checks for pin codes.

Our Mickey Mail finally came today! DH called me and said "Are you expecting two large envelopes from Disney?"

"YES! Yay, it came!"

"Oh, I didn't say it came, I was just wondering if you were waiting for it. You hadn't mentioned!"

I laughed and he said he'd let me do the honor of opening it tonight. *grin*
Wow, what a tease!!! :rotfl2:lol

I just paid off my trip!!! :dance3:

We have 50 more days! It's just my daughter and I going. She turns 14 the day after we arrive!! It's her first Disney trip and I haven't been since 1985! We are both beyond excited (although I am probably more excited than she is ;)). We'll be at CSR from 4/22-4/29. :woohoo:

We are taking our dd14 too - she turns 14 next weekend. We will have a few same days too!
27th - MK
28th - AK
29th - Ep

anything the same as your plans???

40 days!!!!!!!!!!!! seems like I was just posting that we had 50!! So excited!!

My oldest is going to be thrilled! A friend of hers just found out they are going in March; my DD told me I was lame b/c I'm not taking her ~ little does she know!

Not sure if I brought it up on this thread or another, but I've decided we will do princess dresses at CRT. I was back and forth b/c I didn't know what the baby would wear (wanted her to match for pics, lol)...I found a a used disney store tinkerbell costume in excellent condition in her size ~ so it just seemed meant to be!

:wave2:
We're going in April too.
arriving 4/10- staying outside the park for the first few days of our trip- going to Sea World and Legoland.
On 4/15 checking into CSR until 4/20.

Me, DH, DS8 and DD4. This will be DD's first trip, and the first trip that DS will be able to remember- we took him when he was 2.
Kids don't know yet. Not planning on telling them until we leave for the airport.

We got our rental car through Alamo with a BJ's coupon for $210 for a small SUV for 10 days.

Still finalizing ADR's. Open to suggestions if anyone has them!

how fun!! I am having a hard time keeping the trip a surprise. What reservations do you already have? Looking for any particular type of meal?

We're finally in the 40s!! I'm so excited!! I really can't wait to go.

I bought a new (used) car this weekend!! :yay: And although I am very happy, I'm considering toning down a few ADRs to help "save" some money, but it's so hard to do!!

Oh well, I have some time to decide, but it IS a thought...

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Is it sad that I want two countdowns to show how much time we have left? Haha. I want to know the days, but I also want to know the months and weeks!

Doh! Would have listed them if my brain wasn't scrambled.

4/15- Garden Grill (D)
4/16- Tusker House (L)
4/17-1900 Park Fare (D)
4/18 Ohana (B)
4/19- still need one

Obviously heavy on character meals, but I think the kids will love them. (I think I will too!:lovestruc)
I was considering Whispering Canyon for dinner on the 19th, or perhaps one of the Epcot restaurants. :confused3

Would love suggestions, comments or alternatives. None of the above are set in stone. I want to get them finalized soon because I do have a tendancy to obsess.:rolleyes1 I need to just get them done and leave it alone. I keep reminding myself that these will not be our last meals on Earth!

I have almost blurted out the suprise several times. It's hard to keep this secret!

Secrets are so hard to keep!

I loved the Ohana breakfast. Lilo and Stitch are my favorite, but I have to admit that Stitch freaked me out a little bit. Because his "fur" is kinda floppy and hangs loose rather than being stiff like some of the other fur characters, it was hard to...shall we say "stay in the magic". It was the first time it was really obvious to me that it was a costume and I was kinda weirded out when I hugged him.

I know that sounds weird, even my husband says its weird. And says I'm not allowed to hug Chip and Dale at Garden Grill, lest I get freaked out again. "High fives ONLY!"

But it really was a great meal, and I'm glad we went. You'll have so much fun!
