just curious when you guys think the park will be least crowded in april? I know easter is at the beginning of the month, so do you think that means late april will be calmer? or are schools having later spring breaks? Any advice on which week my family should book?

The last week of April should have the relatively lowest crowd levels for the month.

I just booked my flight for my April trip last week on a nonstop flight for $273 from DC. I'm kicking myself in the butt because a week and a half before that the same flight was $240. On a brighter note, I just checked it and my flight is now going for $310, so at least I got it for under $300.

Six weeks from right now I will be tucked into bed at POFQ trying to sleep because the next morning will be our first full day of vacation!

I just spent way too long reading reviews of all the new restaurants we're going to try, and I have to say the one that got me the most excited was Jiko! DH and I are eating there alone as our 5th Anniversary dinner (a little early, since our Anniversary is 5/19, but hey, when in Disney...celebrate!)

Then I see all these other restaurants and I want to eat there TOO and we've already got a ridiculous number of ADRs. There's nothing I'm willing to give up, though, so our adrs are what they are

Getting very excited!

I am about ready to book my flights. It looks like it's about $400 per person (after taxes, and coming from Cali), but I haven't seen it any lower than that since I started looking...well, except for the Black Friday sale Virgin had... (I wasn't ready to pull the trigger...)

Now DBF is floating the idea that maybe we should stay another day... our original plan was a Fri - Thurs trip, but we both get that Friday off anyway, and all it would REALLY cost us is one more day of points....(other than food; flights are the same price either way...)

Decisions...decisions....

I just played "catch-up" on the thread (havn't read in a few days) I hope everyone gets the flights they want, and Kathymford - STAY THE EXTRA DAY!!!!

I have started making our shirts. Someone on the Creative Thread posted pictures of her shirts, and they had glitter on them - WELL, Guess what I just HAD to do too.....Yep, I will have to glitterize my shirts now also (That is my new word) If I thought I could get away with it, I would put glitter on DH's shirts also.

I did 2 days of shirts yesterday (printed, ironed on, glitterized) I will have to go back to AC Moore and get more shirts today.

DH asked me yesterday why I didn't have a bunch of bags on the corner of out bedroom, b\c when we where this close to leaving for our October trip there where bags everywhere.......I said, ummmmm, cause I already have most of what we need to organize and decorate the room.

We are going 4/17-4/20. This wil be our 1st Disney Vacation!! We're staying at All Star Movies.

I find the videos bitter sweet. I love watching them and they bring back great memories .. but make me want to BE there RIGHT now !

Totally agree! Sometimes watching them almost does the opposite of what I want - makes me miss Disney all the more. But with out next trip quickly approaching I've been reading trip reports and watching videos like a mad woman!

Just booked 23rd to 28th at Pop. Its my girlfriend and I's first time since kids. Now if only I could find a way to budget in an engagement ring .

Whoo hoo! Going with kiddos is a whole new experience. I have always been a HUGE Disney fan but enjoying it with our kids has taken it to a whole new level. Have fun!!!

Ok, this is the LAST time I will post about THIS!

I finally bought the flights, AND we are staying the extra day!! Our final dates are now 4/21 - 4/28. Our big plan (thanks to DBF) is to avoid the parks at all costs on the weekends!! HA. So now I have to re-do a couple ADRs and re-plan which parks, which days, but in theory it will look like this

Sat 4/21 - arrive: Resort day
Sun 4/22 - Maybe DTD, explore a different resort?
Mon 4/23 - park day
Tues 4/24 - park day
Weds 4/25 - off day
Thurs 4/26 - park day
Fri 4/27 - park day
Sat 4/28 - Resort day: leave

When we went in October we stayed 7 nights, and it was a little too long for my DBF (he has a prosthetic leg and got a blister towards the end), so we are banking on the rest days in the middle helping with that.

Excited to have a semi-final plan. Thanks for everyone's input!!

Has anyone started having Disney nightmares? I've had 2 already. One was Kim Possible related where I was in a hall of a high school trying to figure out how the communicator works. The other I realized my touring partners,(have no idea who they really were) were having lunch when I realized we missed rope drop. Ahhhh the stress of a Disney vacation
