"Official" 2025 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

question, if you make hotel reservations now, you qualify for the pre-sale? it can just be hotel reservations, no tickets or packages needed?

This is very newbie question, but do DVC reservations usually "count" for the resort guest on sale date? Or would my family need to wait for the general on sale date?

Holy cow.... I wanted to avoid these parties so I could stay until closing. Are there more parties this year than last year? I'm there from the Nov 11-16 and there are only two days on there that don't have a party! And the 12th is probably going to be a cluster-bleep because you have parties 2 days before AND after that so anyone that wants to spend an evening at MK are ALL going to have to go on the 12th.

As MamaKate says, yes, DVC reservations count. All DVC resorts are Disney resorts, and guests at DVC resorts have all the privileges and benefits of onsite Disney resort guests.

Thank you for asking this. We have 3 DVC days and I would like to get tickets early if possible. Also, trying to decide if we want to attempt JN. Never been. I promised dh these 3 nights would be super casual. We are doing a Very Merritime cruise afterwards. But when we learned F&W was going until 11/22 I told him we would need to do Epcot one day...oh, then we should do MVMCP.....now it looks to be not very relaxing at all, lol!

it says if you don't have a ticket for MVMCP, you must exit between 6 and 7 PM. At what time do they start denying you access to attractions if you don't have a party ticket? 6PM or 7PM?

If my counting is right, it's 25 parties both years. It looks like last year that week was very party heavy also. I think we're just going to "waste" money and do MK during the day and the party on the same day, we're there Thanksgiving week and I don't even want to think about how bad the crowds will be on a non-party day.

Would be swell if WDW would release the Info re narrators for Candlelight Processional before sale of MVMCP & Jollywood tix:rolleyes1as to picking 'the right' dates

We also always do Sea World's festivities too. Love this start to the Christmas season.

It was a challenging fit last year, even working with a 6 nights in the parks pre cruising

Just hate to miss out on one of our favored narrators (have been lucky with NPH & Whoopi) by buying our other tix early

As far back as I can remember, parties have been on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Crowds are pretty light on party days. You can get a lot done if you go to MK at rope-drop and stay until the kick you out. :)

In theory, they start warning and ushering people out at 6 and then put a hard stop at 7. Over 20+ years I have seen a lot of people without wristbands slip through for the first hour, but when it comes to special event characters, they will check every wrist regardless of the times.

I did MK and the party the same day in 2022. I don't regret it one bit. With lower crowds during the day I was able to finish the rides I wanted to do and could focus on the party attractions and events.

In 2008, I did DS and then the party on my last day. I felt a little rushed at DS since that was my only day there and then had to take my purchases to the hotel and get to MK. It was a different time then though. My 2022 party felt much more crowded than 2008.

To avoid confusion, please keep discussions in this thread to MVMCP. A separate thread can de started for Jollywood Nights.

Thanks
Thanks scrappinginontario! I don't mind being the person to start it, but are there any rules or anything for being the person to start an "official" thread for anything? Does it need to be a moderator?

Thank you so much for offering! I have one almost ready to move over here but I greatly appreciate your offer!! All we ask is anyone who chooses to start an ‘official’ thread be available to maintain it for the season of the thread.

The Jollywood thread will be published later today.

Has anyone booked one of the sit down dining options during MVMCP before? If so, are the restaurants decorated for Christmas and do they have a special Christmas menu? I don’t want to miss out on a second of the holiday atmosphere! This is our first party and we aren't interested in meeting characters so I feel like we will have time in between the shows, parade & fireworks to sit down and relax to eat. If they aren’t decorated we might just grab quick service to stay immersed in the holiday cheer.

I’m thinking of getting us all APs. If I get mine first can I buy 4 tickets with discount? Or do we all have to have them bought.

It shouldn't be a problem. I just did a mock purchase of 4 tickets with the AP discount and it went through. I stopped just short of actually purchasing the tickets. It did state that the discount was only for AP's, but no one that is on my friends and family list has an AP. ETA: I did this with MNSSHP tickets since the Christmas party tickets aren't on sale yet.

Unless Disney announces a special paid add-on like Tony's Most Merriest in 2018 or you book a MVMCP dessert party, the dining reservations during the party are the same menus and experiences as any other day they operate. The quick service locations and snack carts around MK will have holiday options available to all day guests and party exclusive options only sold during MVMCP.

The table service reservation times are listed separately online so it's easier to identify which reservations fall during MVMCP and require separate admission vs day guests.

Slightly off topic, but if you want a "fun" holiday atmosphere and have some time in your trip I would look into the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. It's decorated for the holidays and there are special show additions unique to that time of the year. I wouldn't do it the same night as your MVMCP since it would kill a lot of time, but it's fun. Fort Wilderness also has horse-drawn sleigh rides you can book where you can see the Christmas decorations the campers put up.
