Not 100% sure on that, but by the way it's worded for the dessert parties it sounds like maybe not. Looks like if you're a Disney resort guest you can book it on Friday, if not you can book it on the 10th.

I agree that the wording is very confusing. I think that people will have to be in their 60+10 window if staying on property.

The first party is Aug 9. Going back 60 days from that is June 10, which is the date listed for all guests to make their dessert party reservations. And if staying at a Disney resort, they'll let you start booking a few days earlier than that. Therefore, I assume that the normal 60 days (off-site) or 60+10 days (on-site) dining reservation window applies once they open up reservations for the dessert parties.

Yeah, it's certainly confusing, the way they wrote it sounds like all parties can be booked on the 7th or 10th. Either way, I need to be up early for work anyways on Friday, so I might as well see if I can book for our September party. Would definitely be nice to have one less thing to book on our ADR day!

While I agree it is confusing, I read that differently. I read it as all guests (including offsite) can book for ALL Halloween parties as of June 10. For Disney resort guests, they are giving a 3-day window to make reservations ahead of those who are offsite for all party dates. If they do not allow it to work for all resort guests for all dates during the 3-day window, then, in truth, it is solely a benefit being announced for people going on the first possible date (August 9). Not sure why August 9 attendees would be so unique in getting this early window with no 3-day advance window for attendees at Disney resorts on any other date.

In fact, I just clicked through to Be Our Guest from the party website and saw the following note:

"Starting June 7, 2024, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel can book their reservation to dine at this restaurant during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party—offered on select nights August 9 to October 31, 2024. All other Guests will be able to book reservations starting June 10, 2024."

So, I think they are using this as an incentive to book your Halloween Party now. If you are a resort guest, book now and get a 3-day headstart on reservations. If you are a non-resort guest, book now and be able to make reservations as of June 10. No need for any party-goers to wait until 60+10 or 60, as appropriate. This policy, in truth, may help pull some demand forward and create earlier sellouts if people realize they have reservation advantages by booking before others.

Well, I can’t reserve dessert party for August 13. The calendar stops at August 6, 60 day mark. Yes I do have party tickets linked in account.

Where are you seeing the calendar? I don't seem to even have a button to get to that point on the Halloween dessert party page (and yes, I'm signed in).

which brought me to a list of special events - the first one is "Celebration at the Top"

If this is covered else where I apologize in advance, but just trying to figure out what to do. We are planning on attending a MNSSHP in October. So, I know I need to purchase tickets, soon. However, just found out that my youngest son's work may not grant him the time off. He has to wait to see if a sporting event is planned during that time. My "gut" tells me just to purchase a ticket for him just in case he gets the time off as I wouldn't want him to "sit out" if he ends up coming. However, I know the tickets are non-refundable/non-transferable and I would hate to take someone's place if he can't come. There is no chance of being able to add him, if the date sell's out, correct?

Try and buy your ticket(s) through Undercover Tourist. They have a 95% Refund policy up until the day of the party in case someone can't make it.

Historically, if your family already has tickets, Disney will allow you to add a ticket to a sold out party if the person is part of your friends and family. It’s not guaranteed but I’ve also not heard of any being denied. You may wish to purchase for the rest of your group and add your son later if he is able to go with you.
