Does anyone else think dinner at La Hacienda during Illuminations is one of the best kept secrets in all of WDW? I know it's gaining in popularity but our family thinks is the highlight of our trips.

I've never been there but read that the views aren't great. I would love to blame the kids for eating dinner way earlier then the shows but my DH is particular about eating times. 5:30-7:30 would be acceptable nothing else. Lol!!

Yeah...the trick is to set your ressie about 1 hour before the show. Then when they seat you...if you don't get a table in the room next to the big windows...tell the cast member that you don't mind waiting for a better seat. It's amazing.

FYI...I checked renting DVC points and was told every single studio was reserved from at least Oct 1-14. It appears that time of year is super booked already.

That can be done in just a couple of hours. This time we will be adding all the Star Wars stuff for my grandsons but still don't think it'll fill an entire day. Need to be there early to sign up for Jedi Training but I know they'd like Fantasmic. We'll take a nice long break at SciFi. Is the HISTK playground still there?

Which location is better for Illuminations - we were palnning on Rose and Crown but honestly I was not excited about the menu there.

Leaning on the veterans, which has better food and which has better viewing?

Of course, our last few trips have been at value resorts and we are dreaming of staying at a deluxe, preferably poly.

Living on the west coast with 3 hour time difference between home and WDW I am always trying to get the latest ADRs. I have a 7:15 Rose and Crown ADR and I'm actually hoping it will take them some time to seat us and I plan to dilly dally for a while with drinks and appetizers. My tummy doesn't want dinner at 4:00 home time. I plan to delay ordering food until at least 8:00 as that is totally the earliest I could possibly eat.

Fall break season. My school has fall break 9/30-10/15 and a lot of others have break from Columbus Day to Cesar Chavez day.
