That almost happened to us in February at the Star Wars fireworks. We were seated right behind the taped off line that made the "walkway" through the crowd and had been there for an hour. As we waited people tried sitting in the walkway and so many times a cast member would have them move. Well before it started these people came and stood right in front of us! My sister kindly told them they couldn't stay that a cast member would have them move and they rudely replied that if we were so worried about being able to see we should just trade spots with them! Luckily just then a cast member came and told them to move. Needless to say I gave them my fiercest told you so smirk!

Also need to decide between Base and Park Hopper ticks. Hoping we get free dining so that decision will be made for us. Originally we had just planned on doing Base tiks because of the travel time between parks, but now the Express bus has made that more convenient.

This is me too. We've never had PH, so would love to try it, but likely won't buy if we don't get free dining. In fact, like most of us, while waiting, I've been crunching numbers. We are a family of 5 going 8/21-8/26, and I booked prior to the park ticket increase. However, now there will be MNSSHP during our trip. If I am unable to get free dining, I'll look at the possibility of switching my 5 day base tix to 1 park/day and add party tickets. The cost would come out close enough to what I currently have and give us the party (but one day we can't get in until 4:00). I need to decide if it's worth it to us. We love Halloween, but honestly, I was hoping to not have to plan around it in August.
Come on FD!

Oh, I forgot to say. I've got a website picked out to create a private chat room for when the boards go down on the night FD drops. It's great because it doesn't require any sign up for people to join. It will be an awesome night! :jumping1:

We should use *******. It's a free chat client that can be accessed in browser, on phones, and as apps.

This is great and really good timing. I've been reading in the old 2016 thread number 2 trying to find what they used. Lol!!! I'm in page 46. :thanks:

I think the one I found is pretty similar to what we used last year, it could even be the same website. It's called Chatzy.

Does it require a sign up to use it? I was looking for something like that but I didn't want it to be something people would have to actually sign up for.

Just found it. It's called chatzy. Lol!!! What weird timing. I've been thinking about finding it for days and when I do you say it. Universe is weird. Why don't you say free dining is going to be Monday. Hehe.

I just got my reservation booklet for the Savory Summer Offer. It does say that during Lunch and Dinner if you use your CS meal credit you get your entree, drink and a dessert.

I'm still cancelling this reservation and going with the Room discount and Canadian Resident tickets.

Does it happen to say how much to upgrade?

This summer I was waiting with my 2 kids for the parade to start at MK. We were at the start of the parade route. We were right up front and the kids were sitting on the ground in front of me. A lady came up right at the start of the parade pushed her way to the front and stood over my daughter and next to me. She kept trying to move closer and stepped on my daughter at one point. She was taping the parade I a big Ipad so I was watching the parade through her Ipad. I was pissed. I am to nice and didn't say anything. I should have though. I did say excuse me when she stepped on my daughter.

Okay, here's another question for all my besties....who pin trades?
We do, we do! We love it. We each have pins that we don't mind training, sometimes we trade for others we know we'll trade away, just for a change. DS12 had a whole set on a Chip and Dale lanyard that we somehow lost while checking out a couple of years ago. We've tried to replace what we can find but some of those Chip and Dale pins we've never seen again and we've never been able to find the lanyard again. :charac2:

:offtopic:It seems to be a bit slow this morning. So I'll ask this question: Where is your favorite place to just sit and relax in any of the parks?
I love to sit in the court yard at the back of England. It's such a nice place for some down time. A couple of years ago we were there in Jan and it was a pretty slow day. Tigger actually came out of the character spot there and waved for my son to come in for a visit. We spent a good long time in there with them. He got to sit on the bed and play with the toys with Pooh.

No. I'm sticking with the $30.25 since that is what I have been told twice by my TA. She asked the day I booked the offer, and again yesterday while booking the other offer for me. Just about to contact her to cancel the SSO since I know we can eat cheaper, and still have fun. She starts at 1pm.

I knew it looked familiar, haha! Ok, ok, I'll say it! FREE DINING IS ON MONDAY! :jumping1: (please don't burn me at the stake if it's not :P)

The challenge is that I believe that is old information as the details they're quoting for the dining plans are those for 2016 and earlier. Starting in 2017 the Quick service meals no longer include dessert and you get 2 snacks. The Disney Dining Plan also includes 2 snacks rather than a dessert with the quick service meal.

Not sure where the link is going but it appears to be old information.

Sorry. I didn't realize I was asking the same person.

When we were on the DC we waited at the railing for a perfect spot to see the fireworks. When we got there NO ONE else was waiting. We waited a good long time, but the weather was nice and we were enjoying people watching down below. As we waited and it got more crowded, a family came with a little boy in a wheel chair, who was about my son's age (8 at the time). Our party moved so that he and his mom could be at the railing in front of us. They asked my son to stand up front with them. (Everyone's being nice, all is good) Then this guy inches right in front of the two boys. I'm not one to stand for that kind of rudeness so I asked him to please step back to which he turned on me, called me a very rude name (IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN) and told me they'd been there since day light. I was shocked and ready to fight but my kids (DH had stayed home for that trip) looked so mortified that I stopped myself and let it go. I was certainly ready to strangle him!!! Everyone in the crowd seemed very uncomfortable. It really ruined the night for us!
