I may get stoned for this but I have eaten all three meals at BOG - breakfast under FD which was worth it for value alone food decent - lunch which I paid OOP was a waste - rushed and nothing overly fancy - Epcot is much better IMO and dinner was nice - glass of wine and the setting is amazing but the hype of getting a reservation and cost for what you get isn't what it's cracked up to be - under FD yes it's a better value than others but I rather go to Biergarten or France or Ohana for a TS

Hoping for free dining for December and upgrading to the Deluxe plan. As far as two credit restaurants we are planning Morimoto, yachtmans, Le Cell, and CRT. Needing to choose one more and between narcoosees, boat house, and paddlefish anyone have an opinion on which? Never eaten at any of them and we love our food so want to make a good choice.

Have only tried the Boat House. Was not impressed!

My DD is still deciding between Bon Voyage Breakfast or 'Ohana breakfast for her pick.:) We each get a pick and then decide as a group on the rest. We have never actually been to the Boardwalk, we keep missing it every time and I think we might have to check it out this year. I hope you get all the ADR's you want!!! Last year my kids decided they wanted to try 'Ohana dinner about a month before our trip! All my careful planning. I tried every day but could not find it. When we were on our trip I checked once a day and found a reservation for dinner for the next day twice!:yay: So there is always hope!!
We would have to pick both because I now have 1 Stitch fan and 1 (well ok 2 :teeth:) Tangled fans. Thanks again Candice! It's encouraging to hear you were able to book a table while you were there. :)

I'm confused are you going to 50s or homecoming or both. I would go to both I love fried chicken. Somehow we've ended up at neither. Lol. I had homecoming and then my dh whined for more seafood and we switched to paddlefish and I love 50s but harder to find stuff dd16 likes and we went last time so sci fi this time and next time back to 50s.

Both. Going to 50s when we visit Hollywood Studios (looking at menu so I think I'll go with pot roast). Then on our rest/pool/Disney springs day we are doing Homecoming.

We're trying to figure out Dining plans, so this question DOES relate a smidge :p

We will be driving, thus having a car while vacationing. I've never had a car at WDW and depended on the free transportation. For anyone that has used both, what were the pros and cons for you?
We always drive, but we did enjoy using the buses last trip. It's nice to hop on a cool bus after a long, hot day in the parks and let someone else drive you around. That being said, I like to have my car so I can pack as much as I want (going to and from Disney) and I like the freedom of having my own car if I want/need to travel off property. Having your own car is also nice when you need to get to a dining reservation.

I loved BOG's breakfast and lunch, and Columbia Harbour House was great. I don't see the pull for using a table service credit for BOG dinner when you can go for a QS. I'd save it for Akershus or something. But that's me...can anyone explain why it's worth the TS credit?

For my family, seeing the Beast was well worth it!

It also looks like better food selection at dinner. And they have the Grey Stuff dessert, not just the cupcake!

Speaking of Grey Stuff, even though we'll be doing BOG bfast, I'm totally getting the cupcake! We're planning on doing rope drop that morning, so will do cereal on the walk to the bus (either those individual boxes or if we agree on a type, will bring small ziplocs), do RD and some rides, then BOG at 10:20; bring big ziplocs for extra pastrys (there are only 2 of us, so those pastries and a full bfast each would be too much-but I guess we could always share a meal...); also bring a container to store the cupcake in; then more rides and instead of a full lunch maybe snacks plus the leftover pastries/cupcake; then late dinner at CRT (8:15) with fireworks going off while we're in castle!

I don't think the filling up rooms is the only reason they do the free dining..
Otherwise they would have launched the UK FD later.and first look at the figures.
We can book for 1/1-3/18 and 4/6-11/30 2018
Overhere we can't hold rooms and switch numerous times. There is a fee for changing dates/resorts and cancellation

I really dislike roast but 50's pot roast made me a believer. It is the best thing on their menu other than the sundae.

Just curious --what would be another reason for Disney to do FD promotions if it isn't to fill rooms? I think they are looking at figures, maybe not just those for 2018, but there are reports of lower attendance in the parks meaning they need to keep selling rooms.

Day 10: A Buffet with Character Breakfast at The Crystal Palace

Wow, that is a lot. I don't think I could do two TS meals unless one was a show and the other was breakfast, in one day.
While looking at this can someone tell me why CRT doesn't have steak? We wanted to eat there so bad but the food to us looks far too uppity and fancy for our family. I could have sworn a few years ago there was some steak meal.
I wish we could talk our self into breakfast, but even on a dining plan that's 2 credits. If I am spending 2 credits I need it to be dinner to work out for us.

Also, we saw an add on tv or youtube with them eating in a car. is that syfy drive in? My DH did ask about the place where he can eat in a car. Lol I guess its appealing and I am trying to fit things in he might like.

They provided nice to-go containers specifically for a cupcake when I was there in October. As long as you don't flip the container upside down like I did :p, it keeps it pretty secure.

Seriously!?!?! If you have multiple reservations for yourself for the same trip the system SHOULDN'T allow you to keep doing it.

Some families/groups require more than one room. Each room counts as a separate reservation.

The OP has 2 separate rooms booked but noticed availability for a 2 bedroom room/villa and booked it but is having trouble changing the dates. I assume once it's sorted, the two original rooms will be cancelled.

I can't see the problem?

Ok I love CCH but that is NOT a lobster roll. It can barely be called a lobster salad. I know I am spoiled here in New England but whatever that is they are serving is an insult to shellfish to call it lobster roll. Sorry
LOL - I was waiting for a NE person to comment. I used to vaca to Maine and buy lobster at the dock or side of the road for a few dollars. We had some killer lobster rolls in Maine. No comparison.

Yes, Sci-Fi Dine in is the restaurant with cars. They also have tables (or did years ago).

Whoa! That's a lot of travel time. You'll basically be going from lunch straight to dinner for a lot of those. Great choices, though. They're all ones I've either booked or have on my wish list!
