If I have a room only reservation and then I buy 2 day park hoppers separately on MDE, will it allow me to modify my reservation for FD? I would think yes since the tickets will also be in MDE, but wasn't sure since they were bought after we did the room only reservation.

Did they extend a lot of the special offers? I just checked and thought a bunch were expiring last Friday. I could be wrong though...

The rooms you are seeing form one night at a time could be hold backs. These normally are saved in case an occupied room has to move. Think mechanical issues/customer service issues. While taking a hold back for one night is not a huge issue, taking one for a week or more would be huge. Just a guess but plausible in this instance.
A little OT but we are going in September 2017 and again in December 2017. We are booked at CBR in December with the GC offer and hoping for FD but I wont hold my breathe! Any chance that when we go in September the new bounceback offer will be out and available for our December stay?

No you will not be able to modify because you do not have a package booked; you have a room only and some tickets. A package reservation has different rules than a room only and FD will require a package reservation.

I can never get CBR or CSR to show availability for my dates 11/27-12/6. So I wanted to figure out what date exactly was not available. So I went through and did a one night stay for each night of my stay and both are available the whole time. So I wonder why I can't get it for those dates.

Alot of those dates the price was only $191. With the upgrade from QS to DDP I'll be paying $172 at ASMu. Would probably go CSR if I could get the availability.

Any ideas?
I would call

I would call
Yeah. I was thinking once FD drops I might call just to make sure there really is no availability at a mod but right now since we don't even know what is being offered I'll just wait. There is POR all over the place. A gal can dream.

I've heard that Disney has inventories of rooms based on length of stay, so rooms might show up for a 6 day trip but not a 7 day trip or vice versa. I think when I was searching for FD in 2015 (when I heard that information), I had different options for rooms and resorts for a 5 day trip than I did for a 6 day trip. I'd try playing around with your dates. Look for a day or two less or more on either end and maybe later you can get them to add a day or take a day off based on what you can find now or you could do a split stay.

Yeah and I'm looking for 10 nights. The earliest I want to start is 11/27 but I can go all the way to 12/19 so some flexibility there.

Anyone getting up at 4 to check tonight? With free dining set to save us almost $5000 Canadian for a family of 5 for two weeks, I just can't take the chance and not get up. Has Disney ever just dropped FD without any rumors surfacing beforehand?

I used the link someone posted where you plug in where you're going to eat and it tells you the cost vs. DP...according to that, my tips should total around $400 for our whole trip. 10 nights, six people and and infant--automatic 18% gratuity will be applied. Of course that's an estimate, but I hope its not too much more than that.

Interested in finding this link... Can't seem to locate it or the way to sign up for free. Anyone able to help?

I'm dreaming right along with you for POR in November!:) I would love if the middle of November was available for FD at POR. Right now there is lots of availability.

So I just priced out another trip using the summer offer and it automatically gave me the Canadian Ticket discount. I could switch to Pop and save $282.79, but would loose the one CS per person per night. That makes it $28.27 each night savings (or the cost of 2 CS).

I could switch to All Star Sports or Music and save $477.47, still loosing the CS meal per person. But that is even better as it's a $47.74 savings per night and two CS meals won't be that much. Even doing BoG for one breakfast or lunch would still be cheaper.

I've never seen that happen in the 8 years or so I've been following. I don't think it's even possible for it to be kept secret. It starts with rumors, but by the time it's about to come out, pretty much every internet Disney site has the heads up and they are sharing all kind of details.
That's not to say it could never happen, but it's never dropped without a huge buzz beforehand as long as I've been watching.

And I hear you fellow Canadian. It's more important than ever before to secure free dining if we want to stay onsite this year.
