"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I just booked CP for 7:00 on my party night. Any chance the characters will switch into costume at 7:00??

Yes, I think you are! ;) If you are staying for the whole party, you will be much better off watching Hallowishes from Main Street or the Gardens and hitting the second parade in Frontierland. The first parade is prime character and ride time.

Thanks @smitch425 I am nuts LOL it is cancelable so I will see what the wife says

Got it...thanks!

This is a common issue with the ADR system. If you need a two-person ADR that requires pre-payment, make it for three and then call and cancel one of the guests. The ADR system is designed to maximize seat usage, so it will not let you book a table for two when only tables for three+ are left. When I called today for the 9/15 party, there was availability for 2 (and availability online for 2 as well). Looking now, a reservation for 2 is a no-go but for 3 or 4 it's fine. You have to play around with it a bit, but it will work for you!

Unlikely, and there will be non party guests still in the restaurant at that time. They meet in Fantasyland in costume and we waited a mere 15 minutes for them at a sold out party last year.

Ooh I should order the magic bands. We are indecisive about colors! 74 days to go not that I am counting.

As for Halloween parade and fireworks I am wondering..,if we want to see the early parade (young kids, one might not make the second) and the good view of fireworks, should I stick to the crowded Main Street viewing areas? If we did frontier land could we get to a good spot facing the castle for fireworks? Going on Halloween

I have been through most of the thread, and I might have a stupid question. We will be at DW for 7 days and are planning on 2 MNSSHP. Will 2 nights replace a regular MK day? We are not big on meeting characters, we will mainly go for the rides and will catch a parade and fireworks if it works out. What do you think?

I booked the dessert party on 10/2 but will rely on September reviews to decide if I keep the Rez or not.

If we don't keep the dessert party, I'm wondering where we should watch hallo wishes from and how early we need to get there. (We would plan on the second parade in frontierland) Could someone be so kind as to offer a little breakdown of hallow wishes viewing areas and how far ahead of the show you need to be at each one? Thanks so much!

If you are not into the parades and fireworks such that you don't wish to miss them, I would not spend that kind of money on two parties. You'd be better off going to the MK the day of a party during its regular operating ours. It is usually not all that crowded and you can get a ton of stuff in.

My son was going to go as Peter pan shadow, my younger son will be Peter pan. Would a morpho suit be ok in the part. Are they breatable and light enough for Sept?

Hey which party are you going to? My 2 sons are going as Peter Pan and his shadow, too!:goodvibes My younger son is just under 3 and is the shadow, so I'm not bothering with covering his face or arms or anything. It will be too hot for that. He's basically wearing the exact same Peter Pan outfit, just in black. That'll be hot enough!:faint: Maybe you could do facepaint? I agree with the earlier poster, I don't think you can cover their faces that much... I wouldn't want to risk it.

Chances of the 09/18 party being sold out??? I need the expertise of my Halloween peeps

It did not sell out in 2013 or 2014. So, historically speaking, chances are low that it would sell out this year. But you never know. Kenny the Pirate has a page showing every party that has sold out for the past 2 years, and on what date it sold out. It's helpful. If it's allowed to link it here I will... someone tell me if I should delete it!

The black face paint wouldn't last long, especially on a kid with the heat. I went last year as a Dalmatian and had black spots on my face, as well as my nose and other details. By about mid party everything was smudged and running - and I used waterproof eyeliner and makeup.

Maybe you could do a black face mask on a stick, or like on a lanyard, that they could hold up when they wanted to be 'in character' for pictures and stuff.

Yeah! The date we picked, 10/21 was one of the least popular dates! It's funny, because we went on Halloween in 2012 and it didn't seem crazy busy. Guess it's just getting more and more popular!

Graftobain setting spray let mine stay on for 10 hours, but its a pain to get off and I'm not sure a kid could handle how long and how hard it would be to remove it.

I agree DS(13 at the time did) Tonto last year. To make to paint look cracked I mixed flour into the make-up.Then sprayed him with setting spray.
He got a lot of attention from CM and from random strangers. But trying to get it off, he was in tears.

Is there a castle projection show before HalloWishes? Is it the same show as Wishes? If it's the same, I may go for a less prime location and have more breathing space.
