Just signed up today, this is my first full marathon and right after pushing the submit button I thought to myself what the heck am I doing!!! :scared: I've run the Princess half and the Disneyland half to get my coast to coast last year, but a marathon is a whole different ball game. I hope I can finish!

I'm nervous about running my first full as well, so you'll be in great company!

You will both rock it!

Currently, Southwest is booking flights for travel through January 5. They are expecting that on June 24 that will be extended through March.

You might want to check back a bit closer, but if you want to book early (I know we will, be ready in two weeks.

Thanks!

Thanks for the extra boost to my confidence! I know I can do this, its just taking a little bit to get over the initial shock of registering!:)

Not a TENS, but an electro-stim machine they sell at the drugstore. It's great! :thumbsup2 Not quite as effective as the fancy one my chiro uses, but enough to work preventatively if things start getting tight.

I found a bunch of them online for really reasonable prices. I'll be picking her brains later on when my spine starts shaking the room. Bring on the crunch! :dance3:

My wife and I went in 2011 for our Honeymoon and we'll be returning in Jan to do our first ever half-marathon! :donald: We're bringing our daughter who will be 1 1/2 years old, so that is exciting as well. We're also arriving December 31st early and celebrating New Years there, we'll be at PoP for two weeks. I can't contain my excitement! Ah yes, and Hellooo Disboard members! nice to meet you!:wave2:

I just pulled the trigger for the Marathon as well. :)

My dh and I will be running it again. We ran this year and were thinking of running a different marathon in February, but ran into a scheduling conflict. So, it's back to Disney we go. I think my SIL and BIL are going to go as well. It will be their first marathon although they've run several halfs.

I am running the half marathon for the first time. Can someone please tell me where I can get my picture with Mickey on the course?

I can't think of anywhere on the course but he is usually at the finish line..:)

Thank you! That's even better so I don't have to take time out of the race! I don't want to get swept!

My first full marathon is tomorrow!! I'm nervous, but I've done all my training, so I know I should be able to at least crawl across the finish line.

Anyone else doing the Seattle Rock n Roll full or half tomorrow?

Good luck! I'm in ur neck of the woods: but my 1st run isn't until Labor Day!

Crawling still counts!!! ROCK ON!!!

I booked our airfare this morning. Flying out on Allegiant and back on Southwest. We also booked a 2 bdr condo in Windsor Hills. Still need to book a rental car, but we'll wait until closer to the dates to do that. It's feeling really REAL now. :thumbsup2

Heh.. I just booked my air tix too! SW both ways.. Changed our end date to the 18th since the tix were about 40 each cheaper on saturday then friday! DVC so all it costs was points, which we have used most of so no biggie lol.. 'saved' $80 and added a day at disney.. so I'm sure that savings will disappear lol..

Yeah, we had talked about staying a whole week so we could book Allegiant both ways and save $100 on airfare. But, that would have meant more lodging, food and park expense, so I'm sure we would have spent a lot more to "save" that $100. :lmao:

We're in! We actually registered a while back but I have been pretty absent from DIS the past few months. My sister and I are running the full and our parents are doing the half. Even my son is getting in on the action with the Mickey Mile! I am currently terrified as i am having difficulties with training but I hope to be able to use the Jeff Galloway's plan to get on track!!

Well to my surprise I looked on Delta and found sky miles I had forgotten about - so booked my flight today for free! Almost better than finding money in the washer!

i gotta get my flight taken care of. and to pay off the rest of my hotel and get our passes to the parks. so much to do in very little time.

Don't say that! Still so many miles to go before we sleep..... :lmao:
