Back in 2010, there were Party specific shirts and sweatshirts. I'm not sure about pins; I bought a generic 2010 pin. Emporium was the only store where we shopped and it seemed well-stocked.

hard to say...weather in FL changes so much, had friends one December who wore shorts & t-shirts the night of the party they went too, just be prepared!

We went last year on Nov 16 and it was freezing! We were leaving for a DCL cruise the next day (Saturday) and were only at WDW for that day- arrived in shorts and tshirts. We were soooo cold during the party and ended up purchasing sweatshirts, hats and blankets. So bring everything and be prepared.

We were there on 11/16/12 as well! Also on the cruise the next day! We were freezing also! This year we are going on 11/22 and I'm bringing warm coats and gloves just in case!!

What type of special MVMCP merchandise is available at the party? Pins/shirts/etc? Where are the best shops to find these special items in the park?

I haven't been in a few years, but definitely pins and shirts, and I've also gotten a mug and ornament. I found a map online from last year's party and it lists these locations to buy party merchandise:

Has the map for this year's party come out yet?

I wouldn't expect it to come out until much closer to the first party.

Anyone have any advice? I am trying to pick a party date.

Looking at parties starting Thursday the 5th, then there is one Friday and Sunday.

We attended a sold out MNSSHP and would rather not do another sell out. Any school holidays I should know about that might make Sunday more desirable than Thursday?

The only suggestion I would make is that the 5th has both a pre-purchase discount and a passholder/DVC discount available, while the 8th is only offering the pre-purchase discount, so the the 5th might be more crowded.

I haven't read this entire thread so my apologies if this has been asked and answered. We weren't planning on attending this event but now have changed our minds. We were going to go on Nov. 8th and use our DVC discount. We would have to set up a Will-Call option as I don't think the tickets would make it here before we depart for our trip. Can this be done using this discount? And where would we pick the tickets up? At the Guest Services window at MK or elsewhere? Thanks.

I imagine it's not retroactive? I bought party tickets before I upgraded to annual passes. I assume I forfeited any discount by doing it in that order. It's not a big deal. Just figured I'd see what anyone knows.
