Does anyone know how long the line will likely be for the Dwarfs if we don't get there until around 6:45? We have dinner at 5PM at Cali Grill and plan to walk over and be there by that time. Our party day is Monday 11/11 which I'm hoping will be less crowded being a weeknight. Do the Dwarves stay out for the entire party so we could get in line for them last or are they only out certain hours? I really want that picture but don't want to risk missing many other characters or a large part of party.

Anyone have a list of the character times/locations from last year's MVMCP?

its near impossible to say how long the line will be- but I can tell you that it lines up early and stays busy for the first few hours BUT the last 2 years we went later (shortly before second parade) and waited 10 min max... We rode splash mountain and noticed there was barely a line and hopped in for a quick picture... It worked great for us. The crowds lessen after the first parade/fireworks.

I am so curious about this too. I read a post where someone got in line at 5:30 and waited until 7:30? Do the Dwarfs come out at 7:00? I can't imagine waiting 2 hours to get a photo with them even though DD wants to see them. Do the characters stay out for the whole party? Is it better to go later, say around 10:30/11:00?

The Dwarves do come out at 7:00 and meet until the end of the party.

In 2010, we got in line for the Dwarves about an hour before the second parade. The Attendant said the wait would be 45 minutes or less and we waited about 30 minutes before it was our turn. Because that was our only Party experience, I'm not sure if that was a usual occurrence time-wise, plus their meet was near a construction wall/area and not that easy to find.

This year, if older DD wants Character photos, we will probably stand in line before 7:00 as we plan on watching both parades.

We were on the Dwarves line Thursday, and the party was a sell out. We were 2nd in line at 5:30 and the line barely grew. I was bummed I wasted that much time sitting there. Around 6:15 it started growing and quickly wrapped around the wall. I asked a CM who said at that point the wait was probably an hour, so by 7pm it was probably a 90 min to 2 hour wait. But it does move fast so those estimates could be wrong. You get one or two quick shots and you are out of there. Group shots only, no individual shots or multiple poses. From the time we walked up and put our stuff down, until we walked away it was barely 2 minutes. The dwarves walked out at 6:45 and got settled in. We were 2nd in line and walked away at 6:50. So if you figure 2 minutes per family/group you can guess how long the line will take with a quick line count.

Thank you everyone for the 7 Dwarfs timing advice. I think we are going to aim for the "go toward the end of the party" route as one PP said. Only because there is no way we can arrive before 6:30 because of our dinner at California Grill, so I figure I'll hit up the other characters we want to see, enjoy the parade & fireworks, then try before the 2nd parade to get in line.

The Party ends at Midnight. If you are in a Character line at the end of the party, you will be meeting them. During last year's MNSSHP, the Attendants had closed the lines before the party ended. They estimate how many can be seen before the Party ends and the Characters need to get backstage.

Thanks! I'm so glad to hear the party goes to midnight, I thought it was 11 so this is a pleasant surprise! I will aim to get to the dwarfs around 10 then to ensure we have time before they cut off the line.

What type of special MVMCP merchandise is available at the party? Pins/shirts/etc? Where are the best shops to find these special items in the park?
