Official 2009 Half Results are posted!

Hey Mel, good job! You have really come a long way from that first 5K race in Lakeland!

Congrats to you and all the other WISH 1/2 participants, and good luck to all who are doing the full tomorrow.

Wow! More women finishers than men!:cutie:

Go Ladies! (and you guys, too)! :cool1:

It was so cool that you all did this. :thumbsup2 I was one of the volunteers that helped out today for the half marathon. ;) They had us doing bag check today and im helping out with the water tomorrow for the whole marathon.

Congrats to all walkers and runners who made it to the start line. I did not participate but always enjoy reading your race summaries, I cheer you on from sunny CA! My question..... I noticed that there were quite a few finishers that completed the race well beyond the 3 1/2 hour mark for the half. Were there sweepers out there? Some of the chip times and actual times were the same and they were still not at a 16 minute mile. I know what the paper work says about maintaining a pace, I was just curious if they seemed to be more forgiving this year?
I hope to do the Dland half but I struggle to maintain the pace due to chronic shin problems, it would be nice to have a little more buffer.
Again, Congrats!!:yay:

I PR'd my Half!!! Wasn't planning on it, but I did push myself a bit. Previous Best time was 3hrs 10min and change at last years Miami ING Half Marathon in Jan.
This WDW Half my time was 3hrs 2min and 24sec!!!!! Pretty good for a walkers who sometimes decided to jog down hills.

Tracy, I was right behind you. I finished in 3:07:11. It technically would be a PR since it was my first real Half but during training, I was able to go under 2:50. I was on pace to blow that out of the water but I guess I didn't think everything thru. Actually, I remember when you passed me. It was right passed the mile 11 marker on the overpass. I tried to stay with you but my foot was hurting me and I had to pull over and tend to it for a minute. After that, I had lost you. Anyway, great job everyone!! What an awesome weekend it was!!
