A guy in my office has gone out to lunch, and left his computer on blasting 80's tunes - and not good ones!!! If I wanted to listen to Boyz to Men I would get into the "way back" machine on my own time!! LOL Oh lord, now its Gloria Esteffan!!! Someone please save me!!!!

And the worst part... everyone else in the office is actually ENJOYING it and singing along!! :scared1:

Where are the Christmas tunes??? :santa:

I had a coworker do that once, except it was playing Paula Abdul over and over....One can only take so much "straight up now tell me" before you go crazy.

So I got onto his computer and sure enough, he hadn't locked it. So I changed his screensaver to scroll "I love small furry woodland creatures in a special way" then I password protected it.

He never forgot again.

:lmao::lmao: Thats so wrong!!!!!

I wouldn't be annoyed by this music if it were slow, sad, sappy 80's music. Its sucking the life from me!!! :headache:

You could accidentally unplug his speakers.

I totally would, but the other two women in the office are actually rocking out to it!!! One girl just came into my office to get something, and was singing it!! It was that Annie Lennox song.... Something something are made of these.... blah blah blah.

Give me Christmas music. Or Pearl Jam and The Who, but NOT THIS STUFF!!! LOL

Sweet dreams are made of these. I like that song. lol Of course, I prefer the Marilyn Manson version of it these days.

I would LOVE that!!!:thumbsup2

I just said to the other girls "OMG, if he was going to leave his music on, couldn't he have left something GOOD on??" and the one responded with "OMG, how do you not LOVE this stuff - its Ann Murray!!!!" I don't know, nor do I want to know who Ann Murray is - all I know is it sounds like something that should be played at a funeral!

Actually, I think one of this Ann Murrays songs was played durring that movie with Chris Farley and David Spade - Tommy Boy where they are driving, and start hysterically crying. Yeah, thats GREAT work music!!! :rotfl::headache:

I once had a boyfriend I worked with who left his computer on and playing James Bond movie themes when he left for the evening, but he did it specifically to annoy me. He got punished for that one for a long, long time.

Reminds me of a bit of revenge a friend of mine did years ago in college.

He lived in an apartment with rather thin walls. Neighbors were often very loud, imposing on my friend's sleep (the bedrooms of my friend and his neighbor were separated by only a common wall).

One Friday my friend was going out of town for the weekend. He took his telephone (this was before cell phones), turned up the ringer to its loudest level, placed the phone next to the wall, dialed a number to cause his phone to ring (for the youngsters, there used to be a number you would dial that would ring your phone, so you could test it), and then left to enjoy himself.

When he returned on Sunday the telephone was still ringing. He told me the neighbors had apparently left at some point during the weekend, I guess to a motel.

The guy just came back into the office. He keeps playing with the computer, turning the music off, then back on, then off, then back on..... Its off right now - lets just hope he keeps it that way..... ITS BACK ON!!!!!!

I wish I could just close my office door......

Why can't you?

Yeah, that would be great if I HAD a phone in here!!!! :lmao: I'm just on the computer all day, and thats it.

Its off now :cool1:
Hopefully it will stay that way......

Wanna know the saddest part of this?

I'm singing Paula Abdul in my head now over and over. :sad2:

MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, that's awesome. I wish I had been able to do something so evil to my neighbors at my last apartment. They used to enjoy 2 am BBQs, followed with a round of mariachi music. Actually, the mariachi music went on at all hours. I once spent an evening copying a bunch of WDW home movies (most of them of Off Kilter) and then had to go outside for something and got smacked in the face with a blast of mariachi music...it was like being in Epcot all over again.

I love 80's music. I put on an 80's compilation CD one in my barn and the kids really dug "Rock Lobster". A few days later one of the kids said "hey, go put on Mrs. Jennasis's CD with the Rock Lobster song" and some of the other kids groaned about having to listen to it AGAIN. So the girl, obviously trying to defend me said "It's ok...I like OLDIES."

I about died.

Theres a raido station around here - Q104.3 that does "oldies." They play The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, etc but every once in a while, they will play something from when I was in highschool :scared1:

I always yell at the raido, "Yes, that is a good song, but I'm sorry, it is NOT an OLDIE!!!!!!" How rude!!!! ;)
