Tonight the mystery starts....

Discuss everything FlashFoward related here.

:happytv:

I'm liking it so far. I was just hoping it would be more of a sci-fi type of thing, but it looks like an FBI focus on some case in the future. Where are the scientists trying to figure this out?

The coming attractions look GREAT!
Can't wait to see why the Asian FBI guy saw nothing, but his girlfriend saw their wedding.

And why the heck couldn't they make the first episode a two-hourer????

Airs again tommorow night for anyone trying to fill in blanks or just missed it!

I too wish the first episode could have been two hours long. I really enjoyed it a lot! Did anyone else notice the billboard for Oceanic airlines? That was a nice touch!

OK, so DH and I watched this. Its interesting, but i think we're on the fence about really liking it. We'll probably give it some more of our time and see where it goes. What i really want to know is who was the guy in the baseball stadium? Seemingly the ONLY 1 of the planet who didn't get the vision hmmm.....

I will say I'm glad they are turning it into an FBI thing instead of science thing. I like science but using the FBI will make it much more straightforward. I just hope they don't string it out too long.

Me, too! The only one who didn't black out. It was creepy seeing him just strolling around the baseball stadium.

Great show. I wasn't expecting that ending. It was quite creepy seeing the one person just strolling around while everyone else is laid out. From the previews it looks like it's going to be action packed. That's what I like. Keep it moving. Glad we have an "official" thread.:goodvibes:thumbsup2

I love the fact that they're not working too hard to please those of us who read the book. I think that would only give fans of the book reasons (or more reasons) to not like the series, and would degrade their ability to put on a great television program.

I was really looking forward to this premiere and I was not disappointed but there were a few things that bothered me. I know I am just nitpicking but didn't they say that the flash forwards were all on April 10th (not quite positive of the day) 2010 at around 10:00PM right. Well that one lady was having a sonogram. Who has a sonogram at 10:00 at night?:confused3 Did I miss something??? Also the two people that were in London were in an office having a meeting at 6:00 AM ??? I don't know why but that really bothered me!

We have no idea in what time zone the sonogram took place.

The meeting in London at 6:00 am makes sense if the context is that these two characters were investigating the incident, which they know is tied to that specific time on that specific date. Figure that if they're doing an EVA from the Space Shuttle at 3:00 am, I bet the entire "A-Team" at mission control will be on-duty at that time.

Beyond that, one theme we'll see repeated often is to what extent the FlashForwards will prompt people to attempt to do something consistent with what someone saw (such as deliberately having a sonogram at 10:00 pm, even though you would normally do that during regular business hours instead), versus attempting to do something specifically contrary to what someone saw.

I had the same thougts. But then I remembered my friend having a sonogram in the middle of the night after she fell down the stairs. That's when they told her she was having a boy. As for the london thing, the math didn't work in my head either, then I remembered they were in CA which is 8 hours behind london. I'm on the east coast and kept thinking it was only a 5 hour distance and it didn't match up.

But I did love the show and will watch it again tonight

Maybe watching it again will fill in blanks or answer questions.

So you know what happens???????????????? I'm almost dying to ask you to PM me!!

Subscribing - I gave up Survivor to watch this and was not disappointed! I liked the realism of what would actually happen if people just blacked out. Like surfers, pilots, bus drivers and even the people walking across a puddle.
Great details.

Yep, I will keep waching, just have to tape "Fringe" while its on....Also, lots of references to LOST with people who were ON lost being put IN this show!:thumbsup2 I think it will be good.

I never watched Lost, so am I missing something in FF? Are they somehow connected? It would definitely put me at a disadvantage.

I liked it. I didn't love it but am intrigued. I did think some of the stuff was rather predictable.

I hope it doesn't become to much like a procedural if they solve the central mystery too soon.

The show is in no way connected to Lost other than the casting of Sonya Walger and Dominic Monaghan. I did like the Oceanic tip of the hat to Lost fans. I'm sure ABC is banking on cross over. The show was marketed specifically to Lost fans.

No connections minus two former Lost cast members (one of them being a favorite).

I'm glad there is an official thread. I really enjoyed last night's pilot. It reminded me a lot of LOST's pilot.

I noticed that & I loved it! I'm such a LOST nerd, any little nods to that show make me so oddly excited. :rotfl:
