Overall I think it was a good night.

Diana - thought she did very good.

George - did not like it at all, the last couple weeks have not been that great for him

Jennifer - still something about her I dont like....did not like her performance tonight....using a Simon phrase, "so what"

Jasmine - glad she is back sounding good again - I think in a couple years she could steal this competition!

John - first performance of his that I kinda liked.

LaToya - she has always been my fave. song started out slow and boring but loved the end! you go girl!!

Fantasia - she did good tonight but I agree on her Macy Gray sounding voice. cant stand it!!!

Stan Laurel was half of the comic team Laurel and Hardy. Laurel was tall, skinny and played his character on the dumb side.

I really haven't been on the AI band wagon but I am so hooked this season!
Anyway I love George but I don't understand what is up with him. Last week wasn't too bad but this week....UGH!
I don't care for Diana I think she needs a little more time to mature. John...Sorry has to go. He did a nice job but it was listening to a high school kid in a talent show. Again I think in time he will go far but not yet!
Latoya is who I think will win something about the entire package. I really really like Jennifer's voice but feel she is too much of a DIVA right now...if that makes sense
So I have a feeling the bottom 3 will be

John and SIGH George.....

Diana- Now I have NEVER been a fan, in fact I don't think I've ever said a good thing about her until tonight... I thought she did a really great job, she showed a vulnerbility, dropped the pageant act and really let her guard down and I enjoyed it.

George- Another weak week for george, I think he peaked too early in the competition.

Jennifer- I really enjoyed her, another great perfromence.

Jasmine- Wow what a comeback! I thought she did great.

LaToya- I really liked her.

John- I'm starting to think that John's voice hasn't developed fully yet, there were times in the song where it went all *Peter Brady* on him. "Oh when it's time to change you've got to rearrange, who you are and what you wanna be...shanna, nanna, nanna, nanna, shanannanana.........

Fantasia- This didn't work for me tonight at all. I didn't like the church rendition, I felt like if she was gonna go that route she needed a choir behind her. I'm really bored with her and would love to see her gone soon.

I'm behind you guys on the east coast. Latoya's just now singing and I'm disappointed. She's been my favorite all along, but she just OVERDID it in my opinion. That's a beautiful song and she just screamed it... Don't understand Barry's reaction.

Everyone else seemed to like it though.

George massacred one of my favorite songs.

I thought Jennifer did well. Not as dramatic as in the past. Just good.

Jasmine did a lot better tonight.

Diana was "ok," but nothing great.

Poor John. He's just so BORING. It's like there's nothing behind his performance. No substance. No depth. No feeling. He's singing the tune, but it's just blah.

Too bad Fantasia totally changed the tune to the song. The kid was a nice way to "work the vote."

Poor George! The rasp in his voice is getting worse. He sounded like he has a cold or something. Fantasia's was a little raspy tonight too.

Jennifer was best tonight and her facial expressions wasn't all that bad either.

John face had more expression tonight which was nice.

I've never liked her (the "package") at all..though I do think she can sing. Would to see her gone too, but think she'll be at least top 3.

As far as tonight.... I WAS struck by the fact that there WERE back up vocals in her performance...did anyone else notice that? what's up with that? I don't know that I have ever noticed that anyone else having back up vocals in their performances?

This week was an improvement from previous weeks.

Diane--- I thought she did a good job with the song and did tone down her performance to be less pagent like.

George-- Was terrible right from the start. Should be in the bottom 3 and by performance would be the one to go.

Jennifer--- Keeps getting stronger every week. Less facial expressions.

Jasmine--- Did much better this week. She does remind me of Michelle Kwan. Sweet kid.

LaToya--- Is consistent week after week. But not one of her stronger performances. She does need to show more personality.

John--- I can't believe I am saying this but I thought he did a good performance for him. Not on the level of the other contestants, but he was better than George.

Fantasia--- I did not like that song at all. I will admit I don't care for her, but I thought last week she was terrific. Not so this week. (The kid was a nice way to "work the vote.) I so agree with that statement.

Bottom 3 for me are George, John and Fantasia. By performance George should be gone. However, the voting never goes that way.

Aaaggghhhh!!!!! I taped it, and the tape ran out right after Fantasia sang. I don't know what the judges said to her. Help! I'm dying to know. I always think she does an amazing job, but this week - yuck.

So what did the judges tell her?????

As usual the judges had very positive things to say to Fantasia, even though I disagreed as usual.

Well, now that I have my Fantasia info, here's my humble opinion on the rest.

Diana - pretty good tonight, but nothing to write home about

George - poor George - I didn't think he was horrible, but again, wrong song

Jasmine - she sounded off to me

Latoya - OK, but something was missing

Jennifer - good strong voice, but I hated her rendition of one of my favorite Barry songs

John - Mandy is a special song for me, because it's my daughter's name, so I am overly critical - it wasn't too bad, but I think he could have added a little more punch to the lyrics, it's an emotional song

Hate to say it, I really wanted him to win, but George gets my vote for going home tomorrow night.

I thought you could tell the judges didn't really like the performances, but didn't come right out and say it. They did go overboard with the praises this week to Fantasia.

On another board, someone posted a picture of Stan Laurel and JS does look like him. From the look on JS face he was clueless who Simon was comparing him to.
