Thank goodness JPL is gone. Now to get rid of JS and Diana and we will have a competition.

After John Stevens gets booted next week, he can start his new career singing cover songs for Alvin and the Chipmunks ! Is it just me or does his singing sound like Alvin when he performs that one Christmas song???

I guess I'm the only one on here that actually likes JPL. Yes, his voice wasn't the greatest, but he has a great personality and was fun to watch. John Stevens bores me too death. Diana Degarmo looks/acts like a Stepford Wife. One of them has GOT to go next week. I have no idea who I want to win this year. Last year, it was Clay all of the way. Anybody else feel this way?

I'm so good. As soon as I saw that JPL was voted off I told my boyfriend that I was going to go online and there were two comments I definitely expected to see: "There is a God" and "One John down, one to go". Sure enough I saw both those comments (some were on different message boards).

I think there's something odd with the fact that the bottom 2 were John and JPL. Those 2 seem to have 2 of the biggest fanbases. Neither have been in the bottom 3 on any results show, yet tonight both of them were bottom 2. I think there's something not right there. If you go to any message boards, there are so many posts about JPL (a lot of positive). And I really thought it was going to be John Stevens leaving, because I thought JPL had the stronger fanbase of the two.

This is the most nervous I've ever been on a results show. I never watched the first season, and my favorite last season (Clay!!) was the only one who was never in the bottom 3. This is the first time I had a favorite in the bottom. Of course I was a nervous wreck seeing him in the bottom.

Diana definitely should have been the one to go this week. She bugs me so much. This is the 3rd time she has been in the bottom 3 and was the first one sent back to safety. When are we finally gonna get rid of her? And did anyone else notice her little victory dancy skippy thing back to the couch? To me that was a little rude, it's ok to be happy and maybe smile, but that's a little rude when there's 2 other people still in the bottom two. I hope she loses some fans for that.

I was sad to see JPL go, but I'm just relieved that my John is still there. I thought JPL was good, and definitely better than some of the other people that are left. He's probably the most entertaining to watch out of all of them, and plus he's a little cutie. My mom wasn't home tonight and I had to call her to tell her who was voted out. She was so upset because JPL was her favorite, and she agrees that there's so many others that should have went before him (like Fantasia, George and Diana definitely).

Hopefully John Stevens fans will realize that he's in danger and start voting more. And JPL fans might switch over to John Stevens now (or those "teenyboppers" might split votes for them and now they'll only vote for John Stevens). So I really don't think he's going to go next week. He's got at least another week left in him. I don't think he'll make it to number one, but I really hope he's in the top half, or posibly top 4 or 5, he really deserves it, unlike someone like Diana or George ugh. George wasn't even in the top 32 so why is he even here? I wish that other guy wouldn't have gotten arrested, George is just a wasted spot in the competition if you ask me. (I know I'll probably get bashed for my opinion, but then again that's all I hear about my favorite )

We're rooting for LaToya to win and a few of the others to get
jobs from the show. Thank goodness America started voting with
their ears instead of their hearts....it IS a singing contest, to quote Simon. Liikewise, let's get Jon Stevens and Diana out of
there so the real performers can get down to business.

I was very surprised to see the two guys in the bottom 3. I was shocked that Jasmine wasn't in the bottom three instead of one of the guys--she hit some very sour notes on Wednesday night. Diana was also flat for her entire song, so I wasn't surprised to see her in the bottom 3. I must admit that I thought for sure that Diana would be the one to go.

JPL can definitely be entertaining, but I just don't think he can compete with some of the other contestants vocally. He had a great personality, but I think that he would've been out of his league very soon in the competition. It is a bit sad to see him go after one of his best performances instead of after one of his worse ones though.

I just don't see what others must see in John Stevens. He doesn't seem to have any personality, though I know nerves can factor into that. Plus, he just isn't versatile. He can only sing one type of song (quite well, admittedly), and he seems to go flat or off pitch a bit when singing any other type of music.

I am rooting for Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, George, and LaToya. I think their vocals are the strongest of the contestants. Fantastia wasn't a favorite of mine at the beginning, but she has constantly improved, and her "Summertime" blew me away. Jennifer has really shown the strength of her voice these last 2 weeks, and I love its deep quality. George's voice is very calming, and I like listening to him. LaToya is also a very strong vocal performer, though I admit I like Jennifer and Fantasia better (just personal preference).

You're not the only one. I really liked JPL. He was about the only one who was actually entertaining to watch, IMO.

My mom and I both like JPL. He was one of my mom's favorite and she thinks this show is getting ridiculous, because of some of the people that shouldn't even be here. She keeps swearing that if Fantasia wins she will never watch again. When I told her that JPL was voted out she was like "that's it, I'm not watching again." She knows there's something wrong there because he has a lot of fans! And we both agree that there are a lot of people that should have gone before him. We've both liked him ever since his whole "pen salesman" audition. He's not the greatest at singing ballads, but he does really well when he sings something upbeat. He has a nice voice and has the most personality out of anyone in the top 12. He was very entertaining and will be missed.

My teenage daughter cried when JPL got voted off. So believe me, there ARE other JPL fans out there guys.

I really would have thought Diana would go. Maybe she wasn't always worse than JPL, but between "My Heart Will Go On" and JPL's crazy "Jailhouse Rock", I thought he was the better performer. Oh well, I think she'll be going next week, as JS will probably do well with Barry Manilow (as long as he picks the right song).

I still love George. I think he had a bad night with "Against All Odds", but he'll be back, you'll see.

LaToya is so classy - she is really the silent star of this AI competition.

Fantasia, despite her past "transgressions", is warming up and her singing is out of this world. If she isn't the AI, I'll eat Jasmine's flower.

I agree - There are people that I definitely DO NOT want to win - but I'm not really pulling for anyone in particular to come out on top this year.

Some of the ones I didn't like are gone (sorry JPL fans)
Diana needs to go now.
I don't really care for JS or George.


Beyond that, I don't much care at this point - maybe that will change - but no real favorite right now.

Ditto. We voted for George because we didn't want him to get voted off just for having a bad night. The week before we voted for him *and* Latoya (don't like her name, but that is the only thing we don't like about her.)

We also think Fantasia's voice is amazing, although her personality is irritating.

P.S. Quentin Tarantino was so mean to Diana, he made us forget that we hate her We actually felt sorry for her. They harshed on her excessively.

There is something about George that I find annoying. I'm not sure what it is because he has a better voice than some of the others.

JPL might be entertaining to watch but he certainly does not have that great of a voice. Latoya or George are my predictions for the top two.

LaToya is my favorite, with George my 2nd pick.

I actually liked his performance Wed. night! I like that song and thought he did it well.

I think Jennifer is fine when she sings songs that are "lower" in range, but I don't like her stage presence. Those "eyes" have to go!

Jasmine hasn't performed as well lately but I still like her.

Fantasia's voice/personality don't do it for me.

I don't care for Diana or either of the John's. JPL reminds me of Alfred E. Newman (sp) from MAD magazine! They have been my bottom 3 choices all along.

Who is next to go, IMHO.....Diana!

Who is the next AI, IMHO...LaToya!

We'll just have to wait and see!

I like Diana!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I don't think she will be the next AI but I don't understand why everyone is bashing her so much. She is one of the only ones that has been humble throughout the show and actually listens to the advice the judges give her. So what if she's a goody-two-shoes, over-achiever. Our newest AI has been in one scrape after another and IMHO did not deserve to win. I think JS and Jasmine should leave before Diana. Maybe even Jennifer if she continues being such a drama queen when she performs. UGH!!!

Seriously. I don't understand how some of these contestants got as far as they did!!!!!! Maybe I'm just ultra cynical this season, but I wouldn't buy ANYONE'S CD. ::shudder:: Meanwhile, I'm obsessed with Kelly's Thankful (go get it if you don't have it, it's awesome), I have basically worn out Clay's Measure of a Man, I can't wait to get Tamyra's, Kim Locke's, and maybe even Christina Christian's CD. This season I just don't feel anyone. But I think it's defiantely good to see JPL go. Do you think he'll be called JPL forever? It sounds more like a brand name or something!

Calypso, I like Diana too. I think she's a very sweet girl who can sing fairly well, and I bet that someday, if she sticks with it, she'll go somewhere with her talents - it's just that right now, the other female competition is too stiff for her. Same for Jasmine. Two very nice young girls who are getting beaten down by 3 older women with seriously powerful voices.
