Now who was the lame brained person that started the new KFC commercial campaign.

I just saw it and its driving me nuts. Ok, Its KFC... and the ad is full of young girls (20's). They have low cut t shirts with sayings on them, like hot chick, and stuff like that.

They show shots of them, and the voice over says

something like "KFC= Chicken for Chicks!"

Lets just put the womans movement back 30 years!!!!!!!

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I would offend you..I call all gals "chicks" it drives my father crazy.

I think at least it is better than "broad"

heidi

I suspect this "lovely" commercial will only be aired during "mail" demographic shows.... I don't think it will fly on the shows I watch on HGTV!

"Chick, broad"... what's wrong with "woman, girl or female"? The tongue is an amazing thing.

Thanks for the warning. KFC has lost me totally because of their desparate attempt to win over low carbers...... I think the colonel is rolling in his grave.

Hey Cindy, sex sells!

Great message for our daughters, huh?!

I don't see the word chick as offensive. I guess I'm from a different generation or something because I don't mind being called a chick or calling girls chicks.

 :p :D

I don't find the words chicck or broad offensive either but I don't find too much offensive.

This commercial is the lamest thing I have ever seen. My SIL who is a director and I couldn't stop laughing. Some of the slogans on those shirts are hilarious. KFC should fire their marketing dept.

I don't really see the word "chick" as so bad either--but combined with scantily clad girls--there is my problem.

DD actually has a basketball tee shirt with "basketball chick" written on it with a chick and a ball for the egg.:D

There's another KFC commercial out there running that seemed a bit stereotypical regarding southern "good ole boys" and country music. Guess they are pushing the envelope with this trend. You know what they say, the only bad press is no press!!

DH's response to this commercial (said disbelievingly) " They PAID someone to come up with that?!?!" I agree....

The word chick doesn't offend me.

You know what does though? When people spell girl as GURL or GRRL.

I don't know why.

These commercials are lame. I can't imagine anyone would go eat KFC over scantily clad women but who knows...

Our local paper has kids illustrate ads for local businesses. Perhaps this was a middle school project.
The slogans are okay - chicken & sex - somehow I don't see the connection.

(edited to correct spelling error)

I don't recall any of us guys complaining about you ladies gawking at Colonel Sanders for all these years...:duck:

If those "hot chicks" continue to eat KFC chicken, they won't be able to wear those cute skirts and tops for very long. :teeth:

What is with that guy, he never ages. He has looked old as heck forever. :teeth:

The commercial that I find most offensive is the Toyota SUV commercial where the woman is driving over potholes and bumps while PUTTING ON HER MAKEUP perfectly. She arrives at the parking lot to see another woman who apparantly did the same in a less wonderful car and has makeup smeared all over the place. So this car is perfect for you ladies who want to put your make up on during your drive to work. Does this one bother anyone else, or is it just me?
