I guess the weekend flights will be more money.

So far the cheapest I found was Southwest $99 each way if we left on Thursday and came back on Tuesday. The weekend we are going the Fri-Mon flights are not available for $99 each way. We'd prefer to do Fri-Mon or Thu-Mon at the most since we won't have to take off that many days from work. We are coming from the Washington, DC metro area. We are about the same distance from all 3 airports - Dulles, BWI, and Reagon so airport isn't a big deal.

For the weekend flights on Fri-Mon we found $236 through orbitz but HORRIBLE flight times (like 6AM going there but on the way back 6AM and not getting back until midnight or something really crazy). I know we'll loose time coming back home but that's a little crazy.

I've tried jetblue, independance, and they are high. I've tried usairways but end up with the whole weekend problem (they have flights that Wed - yuck). Even hotwire was not cheaper.

It actually ends up being cheaper for us to go for 5 nights there than it is for 4 because of the flight cost difference.

Not sure what to do.

Previous poster is correct. Try a package with room. Some people have actually come out ahead by booking a cheap hotel room that went unused. Try SW and America West. Go with a cheap hotel.

Try worryfreevacations.com. If I remember right, they post their trips and fares on Tuesdays, and they are available to book thru Thursday. If you are near a major city they usually have really great deals to Vegas on relatively short notice. Last time I looked I could have gone for the weekend from Denver for 4 days, air and hotel at the Luxor for around $300 per person.

Thanks. Unfortunately on American West at Excalibur is about $450 per person which makes the total about $900. We fly on Fri and come back Mon.

We have a roundtrip reward for Southwest and we would have to buy another SW ticket. So far we can actually go 5 days for about $750 total. I was just wondering if we could find a package cheaper than $750 or even $800 at a better hotel (luxor, new york, etc)

worryfreevacations.com only lists like a handful of depature cities and none are near me
