What is this unexpected database error I quite often get when visiting the site..?

It seems to always happen in the morning UK time for me...

I just think its where there is a load of traffic trying to use the site, I have problems between 9am-10am UK time. After that it is fine

Same here! I wonder if they run updates on the site during the night US time (4 - 5am)

Hi all,

I asked the same question a few years ago, and was advised that it's because the boards actually go down for updating every morning. Typically between 9-10 am UK time, but early hours in the US when it will cause the least disruption.
