Off Topic! Amazing Christmas Lights

That's very impressive...

But...

Ummm...

Parts of it look to me (yeah, probably just me) like a cross between:

- a terrible industrial accident
- a cylon's eye from battlestar galactica
- a house undergoing an epileptic fit
- a death ray from the war of the worlds
- Poltergeist -- The Return
- an alien about to inflict an abduction

How long did it take for the neighbors to firebomb the place?

(Wow, I am such a grinch this morning ;) )

I like the second one better. The fist on is kinda weird.!!!!!!!
Those people must have spent SO much money!!!!!!

(I am so glad I am not their neighbor, lol)

I am sorry. I looked up threads to see if it was posted and other threads that might have something to do with lights. I looked again after I saw your post and this time I checked a thread about random things and found it.

Again, I am very sorry I had no idea this was already posted. So many posts on the Dis boards that it is very difficult to find one that has already been posted.

:worship: Please forgive me.

I think it was posted on the Community Board. My DH saw this house on TV the other morning. They have actually had to ask the guy to NOT turn them on. There have been two traffic accidents outside his home because of people rubbernecking to see the show. He was running the show once an hour. I just hope there are no babies in the neighborhood. Once an hour!? :earseek:

WOW! I found out today that it was on the other morning and missed it. I don't blame the people who have asked that is be turned off. Especially if it is rather loud. Can you imagine the headaches and the hours taken away from sleep because the lights flash brighly in your face and the same loud music you have heard every hour of the night haunts your thoughts as you try to drift into dreamland lol. A beautiful things innit? LOL

Now, why would there be crashes? I mean seriously. It is just like any other ordinary house with laser lights that are syncranized to loud banging music. Why should anyone be surprized and somewhat curious as they pass something like this? LOL

Actually, there was no loud music.
People had to turn their radios to a certain station to get the music.
But the lights!!!!!!!! Those most get SOOOOO annoying!!!! :earseek: :earseek:

I would love to know where this house is located at. I want to go there and see it first hand and see how this person did it.

I think it's fake. Some parts it's impossible to switch from one light color to another in the time they give it. So I think that they stood outside taking still pictures of it all night, and then using a movie-making program, devised this video, and then set it to the awesome music. *EDIT* OK, I read the link on how he did it, so I porbably am wrong. Even though it would be all too easy for someone to put together something, it probably happened real time. I need to get facts more often, becuase before my entire family settled on the thought he used still photos. Oh, and what if there was epileptic people? That has to be the worst time of year for people with an extreme case of epilepsy.

Did you read the snopes.com article?

Also, my mom (and plenty of others) saw it first hand. It was real. It was all over our news as well.

I think it's pretty cool! :goodvibes

That's so true! Although it would be simpler to make a video out of stills! I'm sure that's why it ended up on Snopes! :rotfl:
