Off to Neverland...A BOGO Trip Report! PG 44 ~ It's over

I love the shot of the kids in front of the carriage... it's so cool... the carriage is so pretty!!!
Wouldn't it be fun to ride in it?
Hi! Just wanted to let you know I found your TR. I've only red the first page so far but great job! I'm looking forward to reading the rest when I get a break! :)
Welcome! :cheer2: I do hope the meet works out in Oct.!

Wow! Your P&P party sounds wonderful - sounds like a dream . . . to have Fantasy land all to yourself!
Well, not quite ourselves...but close enough to make it totally worth the $!
3. i'm sure i've said something similar before, but i just love the way you write. you can explain disney magic like no other!!! :cloud9:
Awww...Thanks! I am glad you can appreciate the Disney Magic!
I am also so so so jealous that you saw a Tink- we had our an epic meltdown over the fact that Tink was not seen by Hannah during our trip!
OH NO!
Also ... start a pretrippie or at least share the plans for the trip!
I am still thinking about that one...
YAY you're coming back in a month!!! I can't believe I'll miss you by ONE STINKIN" DAY. :sad2: I'll be certain to spread some pixie dust for before I leave!
When you wrote that you were coming back and gave your dates...as being 1 day shy of mine...I just about fell off my chair! I really wish I was coming a bit earlier! Do leave some Pixie Dust spread across the parks for us.

I can't wait to read the rest, but I'm little sad that it is ending. Can't wait to read your next trip report.
I am sad...but happy to be done with this. I am not sure about doing another TR. It sucks up a lot of time. I really enjoy it, but it just may not be the right time. I am going to sleep on it.

You definitley deserve it. :cloud9:
Thanks! We really do need a bot of magic. Even for just one week.
I KNEW IT!!!! I knew that was the surprise! YIPPEE for you & Lil Diz.
YOU DID! :rotfl:
Are you going to write another trip report?
????:)

Alright, I have to admit that I have been lurking your entire trip.
THE WHOLE TIME!
My family has our very first Disney trip planned for June 1-7,2008. We will be bringing our DD6 and DS2, turning 3 during our trip. I have a night planned for myself with DD and a night for her with just Dad(I love the alone time with my kids).
Spending time alone with your children allows so much growing for each person. It is a wonderful way to get to know your child better and show them hoe much you love them.
You will have a great time!
I have truly enjoyed reading you trip report. You are a wonderful writer and a wonderful mother. You have brought me to tears when I think about holding my kids tight and sharing special moments. I can't wait to read about the rest of your trip and now I know I want to read all about your trip with your son. Your time spent sharing about your Disney trip is truly appreciated.
Thank you so much. I have chills from reading your kind words. I am so happy that you have enjoyed the TR. We had so much fun enjoying our trip and I have been so lucky to be able to relive our magical memories everyday that I am working on this report.

Are you going to do MNSSHP?
We are on 10/21!
I bet you & lil diz will have a GREAT time!!! And going with cousins, is really THE best thing ever (especially if they've never been before!!!)
I'm extremely happy for you & lil diz. :D:D:D
I was corrected (she's reading this:yay: )...My cousin HAS been to WDW...but a long, long time ago...her dd has never...so for all purposes of this TR...THEY ARE VIRGINS!...if ya know what I mean).
And I LOVED this installment fo your Trippie! The way you describe the fireowkrs & the disney magic really gets me. :cloud9:
Great writing!!
Can't wait to here how it all ends.
Thanks a bunch! It means so much to me.

Yay! So exciting that you and your son get to return next month. Where's the pre-trip, hmmm? ;) I have really enjoyed your TR, your kids are just adorable!
Thanks a bunch! I am so excited to go, yet there is so much going on that it almost feels unreal.

So...you really were on WNTW? Was it awesome? Did you stick to the new you?

 WoooHooo! You're going back! I can't believe we're going to miss each other in WDW by a few days!!! :headache:
I know! Will you be there when V is there? What is your MNSSHP advice?
Jen you are such an incredible writer the way you described the party was wonderful :goodvibes btw no raisins at the August party
Thanks so much for the kuddos. Where were you raisins? Just chocolate for you? Was it all melty and stuff?
I knew it I knew it I knew it!!! :woohoo:
I thought you either knew it, or thought I was pregnant...I got a few PM's asking...for the record, NO I AM NOT! :rotfl:

Hope you write another TR because I am taking my girls for a 5 day trip without DH so, I'd love to hear about travelling without DH around. This will be challening because the 6 year old is afraid of certain rides and the 10 year old is a dare-devil. I am sure it will work out in the end. After all, we are going to WDW.
Your doing this ALONE? OH MY! Will the 10 year old be tall enough...brave enough to ride alone? You go Mamma!
a couple pages back you said something about not taking relationships for granted...because you never know what's going to happen. i am in agreement, especially now..my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time about a month ago, and just recently underwent a bilateral mastectomy about a week ago. thankfully she is doing well, but i swear now that i will never take for granted her being around.
If you live by that...you will be a wise and rich person. Life is so very precious, more precious than most realize. It is sad that for many, we do not realize just how precious it is until we are faced with not having it. But that is life...and reality. Hold you mom near to your heart, forever. You will need her for many, many more years to come. I am so glad that she is doing well. You are a wonderful daughter for loving her so much.

I just want to say that I KNEW lil'l Diz man was Peter Pan! Of course, you're in Disney World, after all, who's the best at fighting pirates? PETER!!! :) And little Tink was looking impishly cute as always.
I know, I know! It was like...HELLOOO PEOPLE!?!:confused3 Oh well... it made for a funny memory and taught Lil'l Diz who Robbin Hood was.
Congrats on your next trip! It's coming up so soon yay
Thanks! I know it will be here so soon...and there is just so much to do!

I thought you either knew it, or thought I was pregnant...I got a few PM's asking...for the record, NO I AM NOT! :rotfl:

:lmao: Noooo... but that was my back up guess if I was wrong about the trip :teeth:

I'm updating so fast (for me) that you may have missed the P&P Party on 40 & 41 Check it out, if you did!:)

As many have gathered, I go by Jen. In my younger years…much younger I was a bit more, what should I say? Excitable? I enjoyed a party or two or a hundred.;) Well those years are long, long gone. Put aside in a vault. Kinda like when Disney puts their classic movies out of commish…never to be seen…until the next generation. Well, in essence I left party girl Jen at my sorority…the day I moved out to start the next, and much better chapter in my life.

Well along this line, my ‘fun’ self gets to be released only when the vault is opened. Other than that it’s Mom-Jen. Fun - yes. Caring - yes. Responsible - double-yes. :)

But my vault does get opened now and again. Most recently the vault has been allowed to open Monthly at Bunko (or Drunko as our husbands like to refer to it). My fellow Bunko mates have named me Sorority Jen. The fun starts when Sorority Jen comes out to play. I do like Sorority Jen, but for the safety of others and myself, she must remain in her vault until she is summoned. This is for many reasons. One being that the next morning I am not fit to care for myself, let alone my sweet kiddos. I feel blaahhhk! Doesn’t take this Sorority Jen too many Lapu’s or other fruity concoctions to be tipsy-doosy!

Back On Topic… Now what made me think of Sorority Jen? Well it was the fact that the day after the P&P Party I felt BLAAAHHHK! Just like a truck had hit me, mushed up my insides, but left me in one piece. BLAAAHHHKKK!

When I rolled out of bed, at 9 I grabbed a bottle of water, the pain relievers and a few cold tablets. Thank goodness I remembered to pack the cold tablets! Although achy, and feeling not so hot, I had to pick myself up by the bootstraps and get a move on it. :cloud9: DH, bless his heart, again helped get the kiddos ready, while I laid low eating up all of the rest that I possibly could.

We took the boat to International Gateway and walked around World Showcase. It was a beautiful day. The air had a bit of brisk, while the sun shun bright. No matter what, it was a much temperature, than what we were heading back to the very next day!

We had some snack and meal credits to use up, so our plan was to eat some of the things around World Showcase, which I had heard great things about.

1st stop was the Bakery in Norway, so we stopped to check it out. The smells that were coming from the bakery were tremendously nummy. When we were inside we realized the smells were coming from homemade waffles with jam. The kiddos were hungry so I ordered one for them to share. Then I spotted the famous School Bread. That was a must! I have goaled myself to at least TRY all of the WDW musts. For the record, the kids enjoyed the waffle. Neither my DH nor I liked the School Bread enough to want to ever order it again. It was good, but not great. At least I can say that I tried it!

In Germany it was a pretzel from the pretzel stand that got our attention. The pretzel was gigantic! Everyone ate a section of it. Some ate it with mustard, while others ate it plain. It was good and for sure reminded me of the yummo pretzels you can get in Germany. We were sure to stop by to look at the trains in Germany. The last times we were there no train were running. We were excited that this time they were up and running. They are a treat to see!

We let the kiddos loose in Italy. :cool2: They ran and ran and ran! Luckily there were very few people there at that point (I would never have let them run around had there been). I took some pictures of the kids playing. Having fun. Being Kids. That in fact is what it is all about, after all!

In Japan Lil’l Diz & I got the ‘shaved ice’ (the name is totally escaping me). I had the rainbow (all of the flavors) and Lil’l Diz had cherry, as he was on a I LOVE RED kick…which has now passed to I LOVE RED, BLUE, but mostly GREEN faze.) These things are huge, should you decide to eat one on a hot day, be repaired to eat it FAST! We would have shared, had I not been filling ill. Both of us really like them and they are a must on our next trips to the world.

My DH decided he was really still hungry and I was feeling a bit like needing to head home real soon, so I sat down and rested while he got an amazing CS meal in Morocco. Let me tell you this thing was awesome! The flavors were all on target and the size was large enough for 2 people.

While we sat and rested the sky writer amused us all. I have seen reports of him on others TR’s, so I think it has become a regular event. It was fun to watch, but to be honest by the time it got to the point, much of the beginning words were already gone. :confused3 It was cute hearing people ‘think’ out loud, attempting to figure it out. Many thought it was a marriage proposal, but I KNEW! Let me just say…Give me a…..Vanna!

When my DH was done with his lunch, we packed ourselves up and we headed back for a nap & to pack. Tonight was EMH at MK and we were not going to miss out on our last chance to be with Mickey for this trip!

UP NEXT: A KISS GOODNIGHT, our last evening in WDW

Woooohoooo I'm first :yay:

Where were you raisins? Just chocolate for you? Was it all melty and stuff?
Nope not melty at all!

OMG you sound terrible but still up for Epcot, can't keep a good woman down hey :rotfl2: How cool for WS to be really empty and lovely for the kiddies to run around. Was the waffle a SC? Oh and they're called Kaki Gori or something like that!

How nice to get to enjoy an empty World Showcase.

I too was not overly impressed with the School Bread.:sad2:

I really want to try a pretzel in Germany next time!

KAKI GORI!
My favourite (with a very snickerable name)

Okay - I am really, really sad your Trip Report is almost over - it has gotten me through a lot since it started! BUT - I hope there is a pre-trippie! I have found myself getting lost in it many times (then the crying kids or barking dog bring me back.)

Congrats on going! That is awesome. Not fair you get to go before us again but we will give it to you (this time!)

MNSSHP is a MUST!!!!!!! MUST!!!!!

Talk to you soon.

I was on the WDWCP in the Spring of 1994! Hope you had as much fun as I did - one of the highlights of my life!

i just read your entire report today :) thanks for sharing it with us!!!

a couple pages back you said something about not taking relationships for granted...because you never know what's going to happen. i am in agreement, especially now..my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for the 2nd time about a month ago, and just recently underwent a bilateral mastectomy about a week ago. thankfully she is doing well, but i swear now that i will never take for granted her being around.

best wishes for everything you are going through....and have a wonderful time preparing for your next trip!! :goodvibes

Jen,

Tink is always adorable- I agree with the poster who said she looks like Boo. can't wait to meet you and Lil Dis at some point in October. Are the kids barefoot? I would love to wander around without shoes at anytime. Shoes are highly overrated. Can't believe its coming to an end. Hopefully we can talk you in to a pre and post trip report for your Oct trip. You can't let your fans/stalkers down. Have a great weekend.

Annette

Being sick in Disney is not fun, been there done that. In one week, DD5 started it all, Mama got it the worst, then DD9 got it. Somehow DH dodged that bullet at least he coud nurse us all back to health. When I got home, I went to the doctors, yes I had the flu :scared1: . I missed work for 4 days following my vacation and I never miss work.

To answer your question, even if DD10 were brave enough to ride the big rides alone I would not let her. The good news is we are going to visit my parents. My Mom is handicapped so I am not sure if they are interested in going to WDW with two children. I plan to take them to at least MK. My Dad may or may not join us. I will cross that bridge when we get to it, if I am alone DD10 will have to just skip the big rides, period. It is not that complicated. Besides there is sooooo much in MK for all ages.

I was out of commish for a few days after returning home too. NOT FUN! We will need to keep healthy next time!

I need to watch that movie again...I am at a loss who Boo is.:confused3 Yes my kids were barefoot. Not something I condone, but Tink HATES shoes. We put them on her...she takes them off. It is crazy! here is a picture of my DH putting them back on. It had become a game.

gotta love those trick camera shots! ;)

Jen,

Just so you don't have to sit through Monsters again - Boo is the little girl that comes throug the door that Mike and Sully try to hide from the rest of the monsters.

So...you really were on WNTW? Was it awesome? Did you stick to the new you?

i was! i just shot the episode this past July. so far I have been pretty good about keeping up with it. (I wouldn't post any of my relapses anyway, because I don't want them coming after me again! ;) ) It was a pretty amazing experience - and it will be a very Disney-fied episode (they didn't like me wearing clothes with Mickey icons plastered all over them - can you imagine? :confused3 )

That is going to be so much fun to watch! You are a DIS celeb! You go girl! You will have to post it everywhere!

Punkin- Those were great shots! You held you love in the palm of your hand!

I am going to look up Boo! We started to watch it, but Lil'l Diz thought it was too scary for Tink...;) so we turned it off.
