...to see Bruce Springsteen with the Seeger Sessions Band.

I've never been a fan of Springsteen, but the Seeger Sessions recordings are cool.

Matt and I are going with Kev and Tam (who are Springsteen fans). I came onboard following several bottles of vino one evening (nothing new there). I can't quite believe that I am getting on a plane again so soon after returning from Orlando, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. What I do know is that I love live music and that I love Kev and Tam even more :) .

Hi hope you all have a fab weekend Deb :) Don't drink too much ;)

Whatever you do, don't let Kev and Matt anywhere near the Guinness Brewery tour!!! :scared1:

Oops! I think I may have already agreed to that! (I've done it before and it does afford some fantastic views of Dublin, so I couldn't deny them that! Could I? :teeth: )

Kev and Matt, it was John who posted this comment under my name!!!! I would not begrudge you a little trip to the Guinness Brewery!! :thumbsup2

Sounds fantastic ~ Hope you all have a wonderful time :goodvibes

that has come around really quickly Deb, bet you have a great time. Have a good one and I am NOT going to tell you not to drink too much ...

So looking forward to this weekend - just hope the rain stops - still as Kev says "It doesn't rain in pubs".

Seriously though, really looking forward to seeing Dublin - only wish it could have been for longer. Can't wait to see Bruce Springsteen - especially love the Seeger sessions - such a cool album and can't think of a better place to see this concert.

Deb - your turn to do a trip report!!

Tammy

Quite a coincidence - I just booked a trip, yesterday, to go to Dublin during the first weekend of December (not to see Bruce Springstein, though...).

Where are you staying? We haven't booked a hotel yet, so am interested in recommendations... :)

Have a great trip :)

Boo

Sounds like you are going to have a fab/boozy time!!

If you're into music then you have to take in the Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) statue on the corner of Grafton Street and Harry Street outside Bruxelles pub. That makes it a double reason to go in fact! A good eating place is Thunder Road Cafe (www.thunderroadcafe.com) in Templebar, almost directly opposite the new Hard Rock Cafe on the same street. We'll be off to Dublin next month to see Iron Maiden and Trivium and I'm looking forward to trying it myself. It's been recommended to me by several workmates who've been often. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Cheers all.
Don't worry Mrs Night, I knew you wouldn't mind us going on the brwery tour. It's that husband of yours that's the trouble maker! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the tips John, I'd like to see the statue of Phil, saw Thin Lizzy a few times back in the days when they were at full strength.

Boo - I think the hotel we sra staying in ios the Wynn's Hotel. We're not expecting too much as it was cheap through Airmiles, but we are only there for 2 nights. I'll let you know what it's like when we get back.

Kev

I remember when you were organising the hotel on chat. It has come round fast. Have fun.

As we were walking through a very rainy Gloucester today, I commented to Matt, "I hope it's not raining like this at the weekend; we'll have to hole ourselves up in a bar".

His response?

"So; we're praying for rain?"
