...and it's going to rain the whole time we are there. :sad2:

Anyone got any tips for how to enjoy yourself in the rain at Disneyland to cheer me up? :confused3

:(

it rained for a little bit on our day trip to DLRP last October

TBH we didnt let it ruin the day / slow us down ! we didnt want to waste any precious time lol

we brought raincoats that fold up small and compact brollies and just popped them under the buggy

when it *really* poured down we took a break and had cakes and hot chocolate :)

If you get cold just get in line for POTC, it`s very tropical in there...pirate:

Thanks for the responses.

I suppose we could always eat in the Blue Lagoon and pretend we are on a Caribbean beach?

Do they close any rides when it's raining?

Have a fantastic time Hollytigs! :wizard:

I believe DLP is designed with (indecisive) European weather in mind, so there are plenty of places to take cover :umbrella:

DLRP was constructed with rain in mind! Something like 80-90% of the attractions have queuing areas with covering in case it rains.

We've been before when it has rained and while you can't stroll around the parks as much it didn't stop us going on any rides or visiting any attractions.

You have come up with ther perfect plan - sitting in The Blue Lagoon is fantastic at the best of times but when it's raining outside is even better. Plus you can go on the ride a few times and spend a good few hours in there!

Studio One in Disney Studios is also a fab place to hang out when it's raining - bars, restaurants, shops, singers and all sorts - in a spectacular setting too.

Thanks guys - you're all so nice

I'm still excited and it's my 4 year olds first visit, so she is really excited too, and I don't suppose she'll care that it's raining as she is transported between rides in her buggy under the plastic rain cover!

I'm still praying for a Mary-Poppins-style change in the wind though!

See you when I get back. xxx

I've just looked at weather.com and it actually says 'showers', which doesn't actually mean it will rain the whole time, you may even be lucky and dodge them altogether :hippie:

Shame the weather changing but never mind we are off to disney.    Perhaps might pass you running for shelter Holly tigs LOL. Oh well if it means more shopping drinking and eating and on the rides(not necessarily in that order!) can't be helped.:thumbsup2

Here's some pixiedust: for you, hope the weather will be kind. Have a magical time. :wizard:

We had a very rainy day last year and spent in mainly at the studios were we found loads of undercover things to do.:thumbsup2

My friend is going on tuesday too and keeps checking the weather reports . I think it does say showery now - which isn't quite the same as rainy all day !;)

Your 4 year old will love it whatever (and I bet you will too !)

Have a great time :grouphug:
