Off the wall prediction - Skyliner Access - all become DVC Resorts

No chance that Disney would take away rooms from POP or AoA for DVC or that they would make low point rooms available in either location.

In truth, a DVC , separate from and not considered a value resort that would be on a site adjoining Pop or AoA, like Riv does CBR would probably compliment each other. The DVC resort could have use of the comprehensive food court at the value resorts, and the value guests could have access to the table service dining options of the DVC resort. Adding real value to the "value" resorts, and better meal flexibility to the DVC resort. The food services, which are open to everyone, whether a Disney guest or not, would be the only thing that could remotely be considered "shared." And yet, that could help both locations.

This on the other hand is an excellent idea. They should hire you.

They took land from CBR and near FW to build new distinct DVC resorts which don't share amenities with their neighbors.

Yes, I should have clarified. They knocked down a section of CBR (I forget which one) to build Riviera there. It is a distinct resort now, but it took away rooms from CBR; that’s why I considered it converting CBR.

Reflections is different because it’s on the old River Country land I believe, but I think it shows a trend that DVC is more willing to build on established land close to other resorts rather than raze somewhere completely new. Plus in economic downturns, DVC provides more stability when they have to close hotel rooms or offer steeper discounts.

It doesn’t mean the DVC would have to be part of the neighbor resort - I’m not saying it would be the Villas at Pop or something. More like the model @Chuck S described - he said it much better than I could have.

Reflections will be a mixed use resort. It will have both regular hotel room and DVC villas.

That was the big selling point for us with Riviera. Besides being new, it was on the Skyliner to Epcot (my wife's favorite). HS was a bonus and you can take the Monorail up to MK once you get through Epcot. The Crescent lake resorts are nice but we aren't in love with them. If they extend the Skyliner to other parts of the park, it's an even bigger plus for these resorts.

If you want "really off the wall predictions", I'm looking for a skyliner loop from TTC to WL to Reflections to Fort Wilderness to Discovery Island. On Discovery Island, they will build a DVC resort featuring bungalows with staggering point requirements, and a smallish boutique hotel that will be impossible to book at the 11 month mark.
