This is a link that has an example of the sketch of Carl and ellie...you need to add the http stuff to the begining and there's the attraction sketches too.
I've been looking for a Carl and Ellie one too, but I didn't see this sketch the last time I visited (Sept 9-11). Hopefully they've added it since then. I'll be on the lookout for it this weekend! I will also be updating this post with pictures of my sketches.
So when DBF and I first went to Disneyland, we stumbled upon these sketches and thought they were a really unique, awesome-looking, and very affordable souvenir, so we kind of made it a tradition to buy one on every trip (there have been one or two exceptions). Needless to say, our collection grew to this.
This one was a sketch of the month we found too cute to pass up
As the caption states, this was the one we got on DCA's Grand Re-Opening day.
This one was actually a birthday gift to me, but I included it anyway. Makes up for one of the trips we didn't buy one
And this one is our most recent one, we splurged on this one because we had seen it for like 3 months and wanted it the first day we saw it, but it was a little pricey for us at first. Still, it looked too awesome to pass up the third time around, especially since it was limited to a run of 23.
With the exception of the last one (which included the frame, custom matting and pin for a really hefty cost), we bought only the sketch and just used cheap $5 frames. We're no longer buying one on every visit since there's only so many characters we'd be interested in getting, but we are still looking for new, different, interesting sketches and our next one will most likely be an attraction sketch (though that Carl and Ellie one, if it's there, is really tempting too!).
