Just returned from a long weekend in which we went to two Braves spring training games, DTD, and Legoland. No Disney parks.

We stayed at Mickey Mouse House of Fun town home in Windsor Hills. It was wonderful. My parents joined our family of 5, and the extra bathroom and splash pool made everyone happy. We found that having the splash pool makes a lot more sense for our family than proximity to the main pool. Our kids were able to just jump in for quick dips while we were preparing breakfast, or watching TV. The main pool was a short walk away but was very, very crowded. The kids enjoyed the slide.

We ate offsite at Giordano's on arrival night. It was very good pizza, but did take a long time. They tell you to allow for 30 min for the pie to bake, and it took probably a little longer. It was well worth it, and we had a Restaurant.com gift certificate which made our bill only $28. In hindsight, I wouldn't have done this arrival night due to the wait as we were all very tired.

We also ate at the Celebration Town Tavern. Amazing clam chowder! The fish and chips were also really good. We sat on the patio and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed strolling around Celebration afterwards. We would like to try more restaurants here. Celebration has a Boardwalk type feel to it.

Bahama Breeze on 192: We called ahead here and still had a really long wait. There were a lot of empty tables, but no one seemed to be bussing them. The food and service were good once seated.

First Watch breakfast: OMG yummy! So happy to have discovered this gem. It is now a must do in Orlando. Lots of choices for omelets and pancakes (carrot cake pancake anyone?). Can't wait to eat here again.

We also ate at Raglan Road and Sanaa for lunch. Both were delicious as we have experienced before, but it was a nice surprise to have such consistently great meals offsite as well.

Where is First Watch Breakfast located? It sounds really good and we are going in a few and would love to try it!:)

We ate at the one in Winter Garden, just south of the turnpike. It was very convenient as it was right on our way home. I believe there are a few more in the area, though all seem to be north of Disney. Their website is www.firstwatch.com.

Did you pay the extra $$ to have the splash pool heated? If not, how was the water temp? We are staying at Windsor Hills Story Time Villas in April of next year, and I really want to know if heating the water is necessary. Thanks!

We did pay extra, and the water was very comfortable. I didn't want to have the situation where we splurged on this town home with a pool, but it was too cold to use. The highs were in the upper 80's while we were there, so it might have been fine to have skipped the pool heat, you just never know!

I'm not sure if pool heat is needed in April, but I do know that with most places they do charge, I'm paying an extra $105 for heat at the beginning of next month. We stayed at a townhouse in May of 2009 also and it was pretty hot out so while the pool heat was probably not needed, it was definitely nice to have.
