Off site Trailer Storage

Hello,

I just came up with a vacation plan for next year which includes Dec 24 2010 thru Jan 15 2011. We got the reservations booked a while ago and now our son wants us to join his family for a week or two in Fort Meyers in late March. Instead of pulling the trailer back to IL and then back to Fort Meyers, I would like to find a safe reasonable place to store it in the Orlando area. Also, this would be an excellent reason to spend another two to four weeks at the Fort in April 2011 thus making an AP an excellent buy.

All suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.

About 25mi up the Turnpike is Clermont Fl. and America Choice Rv. They are a large rv dealer and you can store there with Security at night and all fenced in. They charge $ 60.00 a month. They also take care of Several pro golfers in the area who have large Buses..

A great big THANKS for the info, I can save a ton of money by storing the trailer rather than towing it to/from IL

I have my fifthwheel and truck there. Call and negotiate with them. They gave me one price on the phone then when I went to check out the place they offered an even better price. Finally I offered cash and got the price of $440.00. I spoke with Sherri today and she said she would honor my price for a single camper not 2 vehicles. Mention my name scot dimmlich.

you said you have to go somewhere for a week or two. or is it 3 months. if it is like a week this is what i did. last year when i left from halloween weekend we had the next weekend also booked at the fort. we were debating leaving it at the fort on the site for the week. but we talked to the front desk before we got there. we told them our dillemma. so they told us to leave it in the overflow lot. they gave us an orange parking pass with the dates. so we left on a sunday and came back the next friday. the let us leave it in teh overflow parking lot at the fort for free. it is rare you get something free from there. however i do not know what the max is. and i do not know if it is for a week you are leaving it or a couple months. i am sure they will not let you leave it there for more than a week though.

We are in the same boat. We live in NH and have resies for Christmas and again in April. We want to leave the trailer in FL so we don't have to pull it all the way home and back again.

Sorry i was not clear on the leinght of storage, We'll be checking out of the Fort on Jan 15, 2011 and going to Ft Meyers around March 21, so about 9 weeks of storage would be needed.
