Off site steak house

This says in clear water.. Am I using the wrong link here?

There are several. The one I am referring to is in Celebration. The site should have info on the Celebration location.

I second Texas Roadhouse --I have never eaten at one in FL as we always pay Disney's $-- but know where it is :rotfl: very close to AKL about 2 miles away if that.
There normal menu steaks are very good IMO far better then the other similar chains. They also have pick your own hand cut steaks that are in the 20-40 range that are better quality. The ribs are also very good as well as the kids meals.... The only thing to stay away from is the stuff with gravey--like two or three on the menu never had but the people here say it is not very good. The atmosphere is also fun and kids seem to like it... Be warned if you have penut alergies do not go as they have penuts everywhere in shells... yes throw the shells on the floor for those who like penuts...
if you sign up online --less then a week before you wnat to eat there-- they will send you a coupon for a free app. but they give you a lot of food so not a need for it.

We are looking to do 1 offsite dinner

a steak house/ type rest. or possibly something else.

We are looking to save a few bucks, and not spend disney prices for a sit down. IE 2 AD and 1-2 child meals less than 60-80$ total.

Open to something fun/unique. Not a long night ( like a pirate dinner as rest of night will be at DTD and it will take up night time fam fun/shopping.)

We have a car, but don't want to drive more than 8 miles at most, and I hate toll ways.. if at all possible..

Please sell me on where I should go :D

My first recommendation is Longhorn Steakhouse 8398 Vineland Ave. Its by FAR my favorite steakhouse chain that is not a Ruth Chris or Morton's, The Steakhouse.

I've been to Lonestar Steakhouse 8850 Vineland Ave. They don't have those here I live and I liked it - I'd go back when I'm there in January. Outback puts a spicy rub on all its meats and the kids might not like it.

If you are looking for something not quite as expensive as say Morton's, The Steakhouse or Capital Grille, try Charley's Steakhouse 8255 International Dr. This will be pricier than the first two.

Enjoy :)

Well, that's a bummer :(.

I had been VERY anti-Miller's for years. I held a grudge for a waitress who asked my elderly stepfather if he needed change when he handed her $200 in cash for the $150ish bill. He didn't understand what she was asking so she romped off with almost a $50 tip. We asked the manager to have her come back to the table but she had mysteriously disappeared :rolleyes1.

Anyway, I went to a different one because I still couldn't bring myself to go back to the one on 536 (I believe they may be individually owned) and it was great. Our food was good and you really can't beat their Wednesday lobster special. I think it was $12.95 for a whole Maine lobster and a side. We too went over Spring Break.

I guess you're right. But Outback? It's in every state except Maine and the steak is only okay IMO. To each their own! I know that a restaurant won't last long in a place like Orlando if they don't attract customers :thumbsup2.

Most of the Outback's near us in Boston went out of business....no loss IMO

I've heard the Celebration Tavern is really good. Our friends ate there last year and ended up back again on a different night. I'm not really sure about steak but I heard the seafood is good. It's supposably owned by someone who lived in Cape Cod, MA.
We are going to try it next month I hope!
