May family will be at pop century in May and my sister will be joining us for a day at MK. She has a ticket but is not stayin with us at the resort. Will she be able to park at the hotel for the day and join us on the bus? I've read some rumors about them cracking down on resort parking and didn't want her to get towed!

I agree with Mesaboy - POP has a huge parking area - frankly I don't think they care if extra people park there (it's not like the monorail resorts). You might ask for an extra parking pass at the front desk if it makes you feel better.

When we visit a resort (to have lunch or walk around) we always tell the person at the gate that we're just visiting and we are waved in (after presenting ID or magic band) with no dire warnings of towing etc so I really don't think it will be a problem.

Has anyone actually done this? It seems like a huge loophole to the $17 parking fee. While POP isn't a near-park resort and has a huge parking lot, I don't think they're going to allow visitors to park there all day for park access.

Not everyone has family staying there at the same time. Since the op is staying there, and since the sister is allowed to visit the op, she is allowed to park there for the day.

A few years back my BIL and SIL joined us for a good part of our trip, staying in their time share off site. It was only 2 of us so we added them to our resort ressie and they got all the privileges we had. They never spent a minute in our room but this solved the parking/transport issue.

Not at POP, but at a mod, we had relatives join us for a day at the parks. They told the gate attendant that they were visiting us and were directed where to park.

Will this become a new way for "abusers" to cheat the system? Possibly. Especially if they all are Disers who read this thread. Should it become a problem at the mod and value resorts, they may require guests to get parking permits for their guests. I don't think there are currently enough people trying to get out of the parking fee to worry. Most of them are still at DTD looking for the park buses.
