Is there any off site Hotels that you can see the fireworks from? I know this year there is a laser light show that only can be seen in the park. But what if I just want to see the Fireworks.

Hi,

My favorite place is at Howard Johnson's Jacuzzi. It doesn't seem like it, but you get a good view of the fireworks from the Jacuzzi (yes, while you are in it.). They also have a fireworks view room in building one, but alas this is a wee bit blocked by trees. I've had family stay there and the trees didn't bother, but to another friend, she felt gypped. I don't mind because I like building one (closer to snackage in the gift shop!).

I know the Hilton has DL view rooms, but I've only had a regular room there so I am not experienced enough to give an opinion. Also try the Hyatt, too. The Coast Hotel has DL view rooms, but I think they are down for refurbishment.

Or,

the parking garage!!! Seriously, you can see the fireworks from Mickey and Friends.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and Suites behind the Mickey and Friends Parking Garage and had a perfect view of the fireworks outside our building.

We had a great view of the big "starburst" fireworks from our HoJo "Disney view" room.

You would miss the lasers and the low level fireworks, but the big exploding ones looked superb from our room.

I hear the fireworks can be seen from the hotel we're staying at this fall, the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate, on South Clementine. No matter, we'll be in the park til they kick us out anyway! :teeth:

i agree!! a it's a pretty good view!! :flower:

Yes, if you aren't going to be in the Parks for the fireworks Mickey and Friends or go near the DLH (Sierra Tower I believe) plays the music as well, just make sure you are in a location that trees and buildings aren't blocking your view.

Honestly, I have never understood the fireworks from the hotel room thing. It sounds cool but the reality of it is that "Remember, Dreams Come True" is one of the best fireworks experiences I've ever seen in my too-many-to-count trips to various Disney parks, and you will miss it if you are in a hotel room. The one and only place to experience the magic of this incredible show is in front of the castle, or at least on Main Street. It loses more than half it's magic even seeing it from Rivers of America or by Small World. (BTW - I was in the park tonight and they have started announcing that Rivers of America and Small World are good viewing areas -- don't be fooled! They are NOT!) So my advice would be that if you want to have a hotel room with a fireworks view -- cool, go for it! But please don't settle for that view! Make sure you see them in the park, in front of the castle. Otherwise you're just cheating yourself out of an amazing experience.

Ariel :)

I hate to say that ArielsMelody is 100% right, you are removing yourself from the expirence, sure the fireworks are pretty, but that is only half of the show. Or less.

I don't know if you are planning on seeing the fireworks with small children, but my 4 1/2-year-old was kind of scared by the music. That was something I was not expecting. My daughter seemed more frightened by the music/script of the fireworks than she did Tower of Terror.

I guess the TOT was in the daylight and the fireworks were at night.

Just something to keep in mind. Viewing off site might be the way to go if you have a kid that spooks.

Watched the fireworks last night from our room at the Anaheim Hilton. Beautiful view and fireworks. We plan on being in the park tonight but yesterday was our travel day and we were tired.

We watched the fireworks from the Ramada Inn Maingate before the night before going to DL, and they weren't anything spectacular. At few times we thought they were over and started walking back to our room, then they started up again.

It wasn't until we saw them at the park that we realized what we missed. Yes, you can see them, but you miss 90% of the show! So, if you can't see them outside of the park, you're not missing anything this time around.

I agree with Ariel 100% and then some.

But I do understand that some people are just plain tuckered out/saw it in front of the castle last night and don't want to deal with the crowds/kids get scared/travel day/and I've even had a friend in a wheelchair just plain spooked by the amount of people in one space who forgot that people in wheelchairs can't move fast or even move out of the way quickly.

Or sometimes, some kids have to be in bed because it's late. Some parents can still see the fireworks while the wee ones sleep.

Has anyone seem them from the Hilton? I don't know if that is too far or not high enough.

I would never recomend anyone see the fireworks from their hotel, and what we saw from the balcony was not a patch on the show in the park.

BUT when you have two young kids it's not possible to stay til closing every night (especially when closing is midnight) so a hotel with a view gives you a second best option for those nights when staying til the end is not possible, or when you are taking a break from Disney.

It was a nice extra for us on thsoe days when we were not in the park late.

Seeing the show on Mainstreet is the best. Especially right in front of the castle. But seeing off site is a good "plan B" when you can't stay or aren't in the parks. So with that, I know everyone says that seeing if from the parking structure gives a great view, but my question is this....from which level is the best to view it on? Is is best from the very top level or having a lower level view better? TIA!

We're currently at Disneyland and staying at the Fairfield Inn on Harbor Blvd. From our balcony on the 8th floor we have a great view of the fireworks.
