"Off" Season?

My husband and I were hoping to get back to Disney in Sept. but it looks like were going to have to move the trip up. We were there at the end of April for our honeymoon, but the parks were packed due to spring breakers. I'm thinking of planning our trip for the first week of November, seems like it would be a slow time. I'd appreciate input from anyone who has been there during that time. Also, if any of you know other weeks around that time that are better, however, please let me know! TIA

The first week of November meaning October 29th-November 5th shouldn't be too bad. Keep in mind that MK will be very crowded that first weekend as it's Halloween weekend. Also, that period of time falls during F&W Fest at Epcot, which is also crowded on weekends. But F&W makes it a good reason to pick that week. Also, MGM has the Super Soap weekend on the weekend of the 12th. So, if you can manage to do MGM, Epcot and MK during the week, I'd go for it. The following week, the 5-12 is the "Jersey Week" which is dreaded by many here on the boards. NJ Schools generally get that week off due to the NJ Teacher's convention and many families seem to head to WDW. I think it's a pretty good week though, all things considered. Definitely not as slow as September, but not as hot either. And definitely not as crowded as April. I'd go for it.

If you can push your trip back even a little more you might wait until the first week of December. Low crowds, mild weather and you get to enjoy WDW all dressed up for Christmas. It is really a wondeful time of year for a trip.

My husband, three kids ranging now in age from 8-18 and myself in an ECV always go to Disney the day before thanksgiving and stay for 11 nights leaving on the Sunday. It is the best time on our opinion. We rest on Thanksgiving day, have Thanksgiving dinner at a resort hotel and the head over for some shopping on Disney village, Cirque de Soleil and topping our day off with inprov at the Comedy club. We spend Friday at the MK - which is our only day during the trip that is busy, and we go early, take an afternoon swimming and rest time back at the hotel (4 hours roundtrip) and then back to MK for evening activities. That Saturday we always head offsite to Seaworld, which is practically empty. Then Sunday-Sunday the park attendance is so low that there are practically no waits, except for the biggies - mountains and test track which we use fastpass for. We even rode Kali River Rapids on the last 2 trips - 4 times in a row each without getting off. The attendance is down really low, but all of the holiday festivities are in full swing including decorations, parades, MVMCP, Osborne lights and the Candlelight processional. I love it because the weather is wonderful - lowest rainfall of the year - it has always been 80's during the day and down to 60's for evening activities, not to mention that it the only time during the school year when you can go for 12 days and only take the kiddies out of school for 5. I cannot handle the Florida summer heat or the holiday crowds, but I love going this time of year. The parks close early, but the lack of lines and hot sun are an easy trade off for swimming, pizza delivery and the arcade back at the ASR/POP in the evening. Good luck!!!!!
