So, during a week when the only Spectro and MSS are on Saturday night, how will the crowds be at Epcot that night? Good avoidance strategy, or not?

Sounds like a good strategy to me :)

We went on a Spectro night and watched the parade, then rode four attractions with no waits - Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Splash and BTMRR. JC and BTMRR were very cool in the dark.

I think Epcot on a Saturday night of Spectro would be great. You probably can get a good table at one of the restaurants for viewing Illuminations.

I wouldn't miss Spectro. We went on a Sat night in Jan and had a blast. I didn't find it overly crowded and I am really crowd-sensitive ( a new word in the disney dictionary). We ate at LTT and then went right outside to see the parade. Lots of fun!!!!! Epcot was ridiculously empty on that trip as well.

Smart! Very smart! If you can live without Spectro, do Epcot. You won't be sorry.
