thinking about puting a trip together for spring break 2006........(WDW rates are out of the question) so we are wondering about off property hotels?
we would be using priceline.....our dates would be march 26- march 30th.
any tips/ hints /secrets as far as how busy " orlando" area is going to be?
would be a our first time in the area that time of year.

thanks

WDW gets pretty busy during Spring Break, but not as bad as Christmas. We were at WDW in April and found the crowds to be steady -- we got to the parks early and left after lunch each day as crowds became more unbearable (traveled with small children, so did nap/swim time at the hotel).

Check out the Orlando Hotels Board: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=15 for some advice on a hotel or rental. Depending upon how many people are going and how much room you want, you may want to consider Cypress Pointe (rental timeshares) which gets great reviews on the Orlando Hotels Board.

You'll need a rental car if you stay off-site.

Also, check out http://www.ticketmania.com for discounted park tix.

Good Luck!
