I've found that Disney cupcakes are good looking but not so great tasting. In Orlando we've discovered Sweet by Holly--first read about them on the Dis Boards--and their cupcakes are flat-out amazing. Worth a trip and part of our nascent Disney "tradition."

Anyone found anything like that in the Anaheim area?

In downtown Disney, fairly close to the Disneyland Hotel, right around the monorail entrance, is The Cupcake Store. I loved the coconut cupcake I had from there!

The Queen's Bakery in Costa Mesa. I also recommend their Italian Creme Sodas too -- yum!

Sprinkles was good (we visited the Beverly Hills store and got one cupcake from the cupcake ATM). We also enjoyed the Crumbs cupcake on our Lights, Cameras, Magic! tour (from Hollywood and Highland).

I have to say, though - the best off-property dessert we had was the fresh cream puffs from Beard Papa's at Hollywood and Highland. Mmmmm....

I'm just wondering if the Cupcake Store is still there....I remember last time we went to DTD (a month ago or so)...I didn't see it...can someone confirm?

It's gone, if you're talking about the large kiosk that it was housed in, across from the ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe. In fact, they are taking the whole kiosk out.

Cupcake ATM? What are these? Where are these? How do I get one?

Not exactly close, but SusieCakes in Newport Beach has "frosting filled cupcakes" that are pretty good. I like their store because they have a lot of other treats besides cupcakes. They also delivery locally but Disneyland might be too far. It's worth a call.

That cupcake ATM is awesome! Thanks for posting the video link.

It's still there. :) It's just not in the white gazebo-looking kiosk anymore. The Cupcake Store has moved into a smaller kiosk between the AMC theater and the Lego store. I like their vanilla cupcakes.

In downtown Orange, at Glassell and Chapman, is the Perfect Circle Cupcakery. They've been on a few episodes of a cupcake Wars on Food Network. Their PB&J cupcake is Fantastic!! But it isn't available daily :(
