Oct. 2, Thursday - So far into the week and we hadn't even been to IOA yet
. We made sure to get there at opening as this was the park we were really looking forward to. We started off first thing with Hulk, but wait, it won't be open till noon.....ok. Next Spiderman. Voted best ride by our group. DN8 and DS6 didn't want to ride again but DN6 rode this one more than once. My BIL was in heaven. Excited about the decor and the characters. He got his picture taken many places and with Betty Boop, Woody, Olive and Popeye. My kids don't know who any of these folks are but DD warmed up to Betty who had no one around her at the moment so she chatted her up
. We made our way to Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls. I stayed back with DD (too short) and DS6 (didn't want to get wet). The group wasn't pleased with this ride and didn't like the soaking by bystanders and the end. At least it was a walkon. We stood in line for 45 min. for the Pteranodon Flyers next. Kids loved this and would have ridden all day. They played a little in the play area and then we had sandwiches outside. We wanted to ride Jurassic Park next but it was down. We walked on to Dueling Dragons next. The men got super excited about the queue for this ride. We baby swapped for the front row of Fire. Only one train running on each track so it took alittle while even though there was barely any line. Fire was wonderful, I really enjoyed it. Next we did Ice but didn't wait for the front or back as the kids were getting
. We took them to Seuss Landing and they rode the Caro-Seuss-el three times in a row without getting off. Then Onefish/two fish (about 10 min. wait), then Cat in the Hat (under 5 min.) loved this so we did it again. Let them play in If I ran The Zoo. Walked back to Jurassic Park and took turns. Only DN8 rode of the kids and he was major
scared. They played abit more in Camp Jurassic and we checked on the line for flyers, still long. We took turns riding Spiderman while DD napped in stroller, bought some great softserve icecream cones. Finally got to ride Hulk. It was a walkon so we waited 4 trains for the front. Totally worth it. I would love to do the beginning over and over though and skip the last slow bit. This ride did a number on my BIL though so he didn't want to ride again. We closed the park down at 7pm and limped back to the parking lot.
